[For 5th Grade Elementary Students] School Exchange Match (vs Yokohama F.Marinos)

School Report

On April 11 (Sat), we held an exchange match for 5th grade elementary students with the school players of Yokohama F.Marinos at Nissan Field Kozukue!

After the strong winds and heavy rain the day before, the exchange match took place under summer-like heat.
Under the harsh conditions of strong sunlight, the school players fought against fatigue and engaged in a heated battle.

Children kept arriving at the venue one after another.
However, some of the children already showed signs of fatigue on their faces, perhaps defeated by the heat.
So the coaches made an extra effort to greet them energetically from the registration stage and actively communicated to energize the school students for the match!

The matches were composed of a total of four teams: one FC Tokyo team and three Yokohama F.Marinos teams, and were conducted in a round-robin format for the 1st Round.

After the opening ceremony, preparations for the matches finally begin.
While actively communicating and learning each other's names, they enhance the team atmosphere through warm-up exercises.
Before the match, we held a thorough meeting to organize both our mindset and tactics, ensuring we were fully prepared!

It took a little time for the school players to get used to playing on the wide pitch and the heat, but gradually they started to get going.
The calls for communication increased, such as asking each other to move here or to make this kind of play.

With each match, teamwork improved even more, and coordination became smoother.
Riding that momentum, they scored repeatedly, and the team's growth was clearly reflected in their play.
The good plays by the school students naturally drew big applause from the stands, and the entire venue was wrapped in a sense of unity.

When a goal was scored, they cheered each other on with phrases like, "Nice shoot! One more goal, one more goal!" and during corner kicks, they actively communicated among themselves to decide who would take the kick. The children approached the match with proactive communication.

The sight of the team growing together while aiming for victory was very impressive.

After three matches, we were able to finish the exchange matches with a winning record of 2 wins and 1 loss.
Although fatigue was visible on the school players' faces, a sense of satisfaction and relief from finishing with a winning record was evident.

I believe this experience has become a great source of confidence for the school students.

At the closing ceremony, a staff member from Yokohama F.Marinos spoke about how the school students who participated today are carrying the emblem they currently wear on their backs and are looking forward to the day they face each other at Nissan Stadium.

The children nodded and listened intently with serious expressions, holding that passionate feeling in their hearts, and I hope they aim for further growth through future practices and matches.

With a sense of fulfillment and anticipation, we headed to the stadium to cheer on the top team.
The top team also won 3-1 against Yokohama F.Marinos, making it a wonderful day for the school students and their parents as well!
