○Match Report
【Challenge for the Future!】
This match, the first since Sec. 15 against Albirex Niigata held on October 2, will be hosted at home, 'Kodaira Ground,' welcoming Yokohama F. Marinos Youth.
FC Tokyo U-18, trailing the top-ranked Aomori Yamada High School by 2 points, wants to keep winning and put pressure on Aomori Yamada.
Coach Sato also told the players before the match, "This game will be important." He further encouraged them by saying, "Let's play with vitality," while also conveying the importance of maintaining composure.
The match started with Tokyo's kickoff under weather conditions where it rained and stopped intermittently during the game.
【First Half】
After the match, Coach Sato commented, "It’s not that our start was bad, but rather that Marinos had a better start," as Marinos took control in the early stages.
Marinos dominated the match through intense battles for the ball in midfield and sharp reactions to second balls.
The first shot was taken by Marinos. At the 11th minute, a pass inside Tokyo’s half was intercepted by Marinos, who then took a shot from the center, but it did not connect cleanly.
At 18 minutes, Hirakawa delivered a cross from the right side, and Uchida controlled it on the far side, passing it to Sakaguchi, whose cut-in right-footed shot was caught by the GK.
Gradually, Tokyo also gained momentum and began to approach the Marinos' goal.
From the center, Matsuoka took a shot at 19 minutes, and at 21, 27, and 28 minutes, chances were created from set pieces, but no goals were scored.
Pressing forward, Tokyo's Uchida dribbles down the left side at the 38th minute, penetrating to the goal line and then delivers a backward cross to the center to Kiji.
Kiji strikes it into the net with a left-footed direct half-volley to open the scoring.
Continuing their attack, in added time at 45+1 minutes, Okaniwa sends a vertical pass to Matsuoka in the opponent's central area, who then changes the course with a one-touch pass to Hangai.
Hanya, drifting to the right, powerfully shoots and scores an additional goal.
Leading 2-0 at halftime.
[Halftime]
Coach Sato's comment: "We have started to win key moments and the game is flowing in our favor. Let's launch attacks using both the left and right sides effectively."
[Second Half]
At halftime, Tokyo made a substitution, replacing Matsuoka with Kubo. The forward line was formed by Hanya and Kubo.
Then, the substitute Kubo made a move. At the 47th minute, Kubo advanced through the center and sent a final pass to Hanya, but the defense responded and he couldn't get a shot off.
Then, in the 53rd minute, Hanya pressed the opposing center back, stole the ball, and went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but his lob shot went over the goal.
After missing the chance, in the 61st minute, Marinos delivered a cross from the left side, and although a header was made at the far post, Hatano calmly made the save.
Marinos skillfully used middle passes to penetrate Tokyo's territory, leading to a fiercely contested battle with rapid changes between offense and defense.
Tokyo made consecutive player substitutions with Hasegawa and Kobayashi to seize the momentum, and scored an additional goal in the 76th minute.
From the left side, Hasegawa delivered a cross, Hanya connected in the center, and finally Kubo, although initially blocked, kicked it in himself for the third goal.
At the 82nd minute, Kobayashi, who had the ball on the right side, passed to Kubo, who cut inside and took a shot, but the GK saved it.
In the final stages, although there were moments when they were pressed by Marinos' offensive, Hasukawa and Okazaki mainly defended against the opponent's attacks around the penalty area, and the match ended.
Tokyo secured a 3-0 shutout victory and, due to results at other venues, reclaimed first place with two matches remaining.
