[Report] Sustainability Workshop Held for Academy Players and Staff
At FC Tokyo, we are advancing various initiatives toward realizing our Social Statement 'Goals Connected to the Future of Our Lives', based on our sustainability strategy to achieve a sustainable society.
As part of this effort, we conduct sustainability workshops for various groups involved with the club, including employees, top team players and staff, academy members, and school students.
[Report] Sustainability Workshop Conducted for Top Team Players and Staff
This time, sustainability workshops were held for all FC Tokyo U-18 and U-15 academy players on June 9 (Tue) and June 28 (Sun), respectively.
At FC Tokyo's academy, we aim not only to produce players who can succeed in the top team but also to nurture individuals who can thrive in society.
This workshop was conducted with the purpose of having each academy player think about the connection between soccer and the environment, as well as daily life and the environment, and to become leaders not only in the soccer world but also in society in the field of sustainability.
On the day, a lecture was given on the relationship between soccer and the environment, environmental initiatives in the soccer world, and the sustainability efforts being promoted by FC Tokyo. In addition to the lecture, opportunities were provided for the players to think for themselves and express their opinions, making it a time to personally engage with environmental issues.
The players listened to the lecture attentively and expressed their thoughts in their own words. At the end, there were strong words saying, "I want to put into practice what I learned today in my daily life," concluding the workshop.
FC Tokyo will continue to work together with fans, supporters, partners, and the local community in our hometown of Tokyo to advance initiatives that lead to a cleaner and more sustainable future, aiming to realize the Social Statement 'Goals Connected to the Future of Our Lives'.
