We hereby announce that Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO of our club, will step down as of July 1, 2026.

During his tenure, we sincerely thank all the fans and supporters, hometown municipalities, local communities, partner companies, and related organizations for their tremendous support and cooperation.

Regarding the successor to the President and Representative Director, we will notify you again once the decision has been made following the approval procedures by the relevant meetings based on the Companies Act and other related regulations.

Comment from President and CEO Shigeya Kawagishi

"I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported FC Tokyo on a daily basis. I have decided to step down as President and CEO of FC Tokyo. Through this role, I have felt the greatness of FC Tokyo in various situations and have worked with the desire to further enhance its significance and value. As a soccer club, it is undeniable that the team’s performance is always under scrutiny. In that regard, I am frustrated and feel sorry that we were unable to achieve the desired results. On the other hand, the club is now prepared to move on to the next stage. I believe that FC Tokyo is a club that can definitely win the league championship, and that this is only a milestone for the club. FC Tokyo will surely soar onto the world stage, carrying the hopes of everyone who supports the club. I will hand over this journey to the next person. Although my position will change, I will continue to support this journey as a single supporter."
