○Match Report
【Challenge for the Future!】
“Let’s enjoy this best environment,” Coach Sato said to the players ahead of the final match.
The 2016 Prince Takamado U-18 Soccer League Premier League EAST Sec. 18 was held under favorable weather, watched by about 1,100 fans and supporters.
Following the previous match result, FC Tokyo U-18, currently in second place, must win to secure the championship.
On the other hand, top-ranked Aomori Yamada High School will win the championship with a draw or better. Guarding the goal is Riku HIROSUE, who will join FC Tokyo from next season (a graduate of FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa).
The match for the championship kicked off at 1:00 p.m. with Aomori Yamada High School starting the game.

【First Half】
The game began with both teams cautiously feeling each other out in the early stages, and Tokyo pressed toward Aomori’s goal through set pieces and wing attacks.
At the 8th minute, Ito delivered a right corner kick into the box, which was blocked by the opposing defender, resulting in a left corner kick. Ito again aimed for Okazaki near the near post, but the shot went wide.
At the 10th minute, they created a chance from a corner kick but could not score.
Gradually gaining possession, Tokyo launched attacks toward the opponent’s goal centered around Uchida.
At the 11th minute, Uchida dived in to meet a cross from Hanya, and at the 18th minute, through passing combinations with Kiji and Ito.
At the 26th minute, Uchida advanced alone into the right penalty area, and Ito took a shot near the near post. Uchida pushed in the rebound, but it was ruled offside.
Both teams engage in fierce battles for the ball in midfield, leading to rapid transitions between offense and defense.
Tokyo launches attacks by alternating between building up with short passes and using long passes from the defensive line.
In response, Aomori Yamada creates opportunities from long balls and focuses on counterattacks coming at Tokyo’s goal from both the left and right sides.
Tokyo, having firmly dealt with the opponent's attacks, saw Uchida dribble into the right penalty area again at the 43rd minute and deliver a cross, but it could not be connected.
At the 44th minute, Suzuki stole the ball in the central midfield and launched a short counterattack.
Dribbling up through the center, he passed to Hirakawa and then connected to Hanya. Hanya entered the penalty area from the left side and, after a feint, delivered a cross, but the goalkeeper caught it.
In additional time, Hanya, who penetrated deep into the left penalty area, became the starting point, and finally Hirakawa unleashed a powerful long-range shot, but it missed the target.
They did not allow Aomori Yamada to take a single shot, and the score remained goalless at halftime.

【Halftime】
Coach Sato
“The tempo is gradually building. Let’s aim for the near side from the flanks. Make sure to secure the second balls.”

【Second Half】
Tokyo, for whom victory is an absolute requirement to win the championship, launches an offensive.
They firmly repel the opponent's long balls, collect the second balls, and approach the goal from the left side.
At the 55th minute, Hanya initiates a dribble and then sends a vertical pass to Hirakawa, who has moved around outside. Hirakawa enters the penalty area and delivers a cross, but it cannot be connected.
Then, in the 57th minute, the ball was passed from Hirakawa to Uchida, who advanced deep into the penalty area and sent a cross to the near post. The ball was met with a direct shot but failed to hit the target.
Tokyo continued their offensive by bringing on Matsuoka and Kubo, but the goal remained elusive against Aomori Yamada's intense defense.
Then, in the 39th minute, when the ball was played behind the defensive line, the opposing FW controlled it, and being brought down from behind resulted in conceding a penalty kick.
They scored in the right corner, conceding the first goal.
Immediately after, Tokyo substituted Ito for Okaniwa, placing him on the right side of midfield.
They increased pressure through set pieces and from both flanks but could not break down the opponent's defense.
On the other hand, with effective time management through substitutions, the additional time was four minutes.
Tokyo pushed Hasukawa forward and launched a power play, but they were unable to score until the end, and the match ended.

As a result, FC Tokyo U-18 finished in second place and did not qualify for the Prince Takamado U-18 Soccer League 2016 Championship.
