The opponent for Sec. 5 of the JFA Prince League U-18 Kanto 2010 was JEF United Ichihara Chiba U-18. The match started at 11:00 amid warm weather.
From the start, they overwhelmed the opponent with aggressive pressing from the front line, quick transitions, and wide play.
At 1 minute, a long ball from Hiroki on the right side was dropped by Maeoka to SASAKI, who passed it to Muramatsu on the left. Muramatsu sent a low cross to Eguchi on the opposite side, who took a shot but missed to the left.
At 3 minutes, after winning a free kick, Hashimoto headed a long ball to the opposite side, and Muto, running in, took a direct shot but failed to hit the target.
At the 6th minute, a pass was made from Hashimoto to Eguchi on the right side, then the ball was passed back to Hashimoto who ran into the space ahead and crossed it. It reached Akioka, but his header shot missed the target.
At the 14th and 16th minutes, Muto made sharp dribbles cutting inside from the left side, evading the opposing DF and taking shots, but was blocked by the opposing DF. On this day, Muto’s aggressive dribbling attempts were seen throughout the match.
They continued to prevent the opponent from maintaining possession through quick pressing from the front and rapid transitions after losing the ball, constantly forcing the opponent into situations where they had no choice but to clear the ball. In attack, they frequently used long vertical balls, collected the rebounds, and then used the width of the field to unsettle the opponent.
At the 32nd minute, Akioka dropped a long ball to Maeoka, who took an unhesitating shot from about 30 meters out. The ball, slightly off course, brushed past the opposing goalkeeper's hand and hit the post, but Eguchi quickly reacted and headed it in to score the long-awaited opening goal.
Riding the momentum, Tokyo’s movement improved even more, and with their pressing and quick transitions, they spent more time in the opponent’s half.
At the 45th minute, Muto took the ball on the left side, dribbled inside, and passed to Eguchi on the right. Muto then made a run to receive the ball again and passed once more to Eguchi, who shot with his left foot but narrowly missed to the left.

Just three minutes into the second half, Akioka steals the ball in midfield and carries it forward by dribbling. When the front is congested, he passes the ball to Sasaki, who takes a shot. However, it goes over the goal.
At 6 minutes, Akioka skillfully shields the ball after receiving it from Maeka. When the ball is passed to the running Muto, he aggressively challenges vertically, but the cross is blocked by the opposing DF.
