Commentary
The first match of the 1st to 4th place ranking playoffs kicked off at 15:00 in the heat exceeding 30 degrees. From the start, the team pressed aggressively on the ball but the match progressed without finding a rhythm. At the 40th minute, Toshi Mori delivered a speedy cross from the right side to the center. Umenai rushed in from the opposite side and took a shot. Although the opposing goalkeeper initially blocked it, Umenai pushed the rebound in to score the opening goal. The first half ended with a 1-0 lead.
In the second half, the opponent committed more players and pushed forward more aggressively. At the 61st minute, the ball was taken away in front of the goal, allowing the equalizing goal. Afterwards, Kasahara, Mita, Hiroki, and Sasaki were brought on, and the team seized the attacking rhythm and went on the offense, but could not score. The match ended 1-1 at full time. There was no extra time, and they lost 3-4 in the penalty shootout.
