Commentary

In their first official match as a new team, FC Tokyo faced Suginami FC Youth in the first game of the Final Round of the Tokyo Club Youth Soccer U-17 Championship. The match kicked off at 2:00 p.m. at the Kodaira Ground, where the cold weather chilled players to the bone with occasional snowfall. From the start, Tokyo took control of the pace and launched a goal rush. First, in the 8th minute, Abe lightly touched the ball from an indirect free kick near the center of the opponent’s goal, and Shigematsu scored to take the lead. In the 15th minute, after a large switch to the left side, Abe crossed the ball back, and Naoki SANDA connected for the second goal. Then, in the 16th minute, Naoki SANDA scored again, extending the lead to 3-0. Furthermore, in the 28th minute, Yamaguchi received a pass from Naoki SANDA and calmly finished with his left foot to make it 4-0, further widening the gap. However, no more goals were scored after that, and the first half ended with a 4-0 lead.

In the second half, the team changed members except for GK Choi and DF Matsufuji. At the start of the half, in the 46th minute, Akioka scored with his right foot from a loose ball off the opposing DF in the center, making it 5-0. Then, in the 54th minute, Sasaki passed to Akioka, who scored with his left foot to make it 6-0. In the 58th minute, there was a chance from a right corner kick. Sasaki took the kick, and Nagai headed the ball into the goal, making it 7-0. In the 63rd minute, Sasaki scored from a loose ball off the opposing GK, extending the lead to 8-0. One minute later, from a ball on the right side by Hoshi, Akioka scored his hat-trick goal, making it 9-0.
However, just before the end of the match, the ball was intercepted in midfield and scored by the opponent, making it 9-1, but they won the important first official match 9-1.
