〇 Match Report
(This week's report covers both Fukagawa and Musashi.)
Only four matches remain in the Kanto League. This week marks the second direct encounter between FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa and FC Tokyo U-15 Musashi.
Fukagawa, hosting Musashi at their home ground 'Fukagawa Ground,' secured a 1-0 victory in the previous match thanks to Kimura's goal. This week, they aim to add another 3 points and improve their ranking by at least one place.
Musashi, on the other hand, was relegated to the second division due to the results of the previous match, but true to Coach Kyomasu's words to 'fight with full effort until the end,' they fought through to the very end.
In the light rain, the intense battle between the two teams, both eager to earn 3 points, kicked off at 2:00 PM at Fukagawa.
【First Half】
The first half showcased the distinctive characteristics of both teams.
Musashi moved the ball with a possession style including their GK, looking for openings in the opponent's defense.
In response, Fukagawa used pressing from the front line and abundant stamina as weapons to deny Musashi any freedom.
Musashi also mixed in long balls to evade Fukagawa's press, preventing them from narrowing their focus, and the battle for control continued.
The first shot was taken by Musashi's Keita KOBAYASHI. At the 7th minute, after creating a foothold upfront from Morita's long ball and passing it back to Keita KOBAYASHI, he aimed a mid-range shot but did not score.
At 15 minutes, Fukagawa's cross from the left side was cleared by Musashi's DF. Anzai on the right side picked it up and sent it back to Miyata in front of the goal.
Miyata's header shot was saved by Takahashi.
With a fast-paced exchange between offense and defense, at 17 minutes, Tosaka received the ball on the left side for Musashi, and Hayata Ishii ran around outside to deliver a cross.
Fukagawa GK Takahashi punched the ball clear, and Kudo picked it up to launch a counterattack from the left side for Fukagawa.
Kudo passed to Yoshifu, and finally Miyata in the center took a shot, but it was weak and went straight to the GK.
Musashi gradually began to dominate the second balls and physical battles by the 23rd minute.
Riku Kobayashi dribbled in from the left, picked up the ball amid the scramble, and finally shook the net with his right foot to score the opening goal.
Riding the momentum, Musashi applied coordinated pressure on the build-up from Fukagawa's DF line at the 25th minute, forcing the ball back to GK Takahashi.
Sudo applied pressure here and blocked the ball that was about to be fed. Picking up the loose ball, Sudo calmly scored to extend the lead to 0-2.
At the 30th minute, Musashi won the first corner kick of the match, but Anzai cleared it near the goal. Fukagawa did not allow any additional goals.
◈ Then, in the 36th minute, Kudo delivered a cross from the midfield side, and the ball was drawn into the far-side net, bringing the halftime score to 1-2.
【Second Half】
Fukagawa entered the game with pressure right from the start.
They took control with sharp pressing from the front line and aggressive play.
At the 43rd minute, Yoshifu earned a free kick deep on the left side and delivered it near with his left foot himself, but Takei's shot was blocked by Hinata Ishii.
Then at the 48th minute, Kimura connected at the center from a left corner kick, and Shiratori aimed for the rebound, but the DF blocked it.
From the right corner kick earned here, Shiratori connected with a header in the center, and Fukagawa equalized.
Having completely seized the momentum, Fukagawa had Yoshifu deliver a cross from the left side in the 50th minute.
Then, in the 51st minute, after drifting to the right side and receiving the ball, he continued to press toward the goal with a cut-in shot, and in the 53rd minute scored the go-ahead goal.
From the flow of the set piece, Kimura, who stayed forward, held the ball on the right side and played a middle pass to Yoshifu on the left side.
Yoshifu then crossed to Shiratori in the center, who headed the ball into the net.
Players not in the lineup from both teams loudly cheered, powerfully supporting the players fighting on the pitch from behind.
Musashi also creates a chance on the counterattack. At the 58th minute, Yokota dribbles up the center and makes a through pass to Sudo.
Sudo touches the ball before Takahashi, who rushed out, but Anzai, who came in to cover, clears it.
Then at the 65th minute, a ground cross from the left side is connected between Kobayashi Riku and Sudo in the center, but the shot goes over the goal.
At the 70th minute, Fukagawa made a substitution, replacing Kawano with Miura, positioning Shiratori up front, and Miura took the right SH position.
Musashi, intensifying their offense, saw Yokota dribble about 40 meters up the center on a counterattack at the 79th minute and deliver a through pass to Kobayashi Riku, but it was blocked.
Musashi, continuing to attack without giving up, connected with Kobayashi Riku and Sugawara on the right side in the 80th minute, then delivered a soft early cross to the center in front of the goal, where Sudo jumped in with a header to equalize.
The match, in which both sides showed strong determination to win, ended as a 3-3 draw.
