○ Match Report
Under a cloudy sky after the rain, the second Kanto League match against Omiya Ardija Junior Youth kicked off with Musashi starting the game.
From the start, both teams tried to take control of the attack, but it took time to adapt to the rain-soaked natural grass field.
Right after kickoff, Musashi allowed the opponent a shooting chance, but GK Yamada made a great save to prevent it.
At the 9th minute, Musashi launched an attack. Nagasawa, attempting a central breakthrough, carefully observed the opponent’s situation and switched play to the right side.
Yamanobori, who had surged forward, delivered a superb cross ball to the center. Hirakawa powerfully took a shot with his left foot on the rebound, but unfortunately missed the target.
Then, at the 14th minute, Terayama sent a vertical pass from the right side to Imamura in the center. Imamura dribbled forward and took a shot himself, but it went over the crossbar.
As time passed, Musashi adapted to the pitch and increasingly took control of the attack while maintaining possession of the ball.
Then, at the 22nd minute, Sasaki, who advanced with a dribble, broke through the opposing defenders with a brilliant one-two pass exchange with Imamura.
Sasaki faced a clear scoring opportunity, but unfortunately his shot was blocked by the opposing GK.
In the second half, Omiya adjusted their defense, and Musashi found themselves engaged in many midfield battles, unable to advance toward the goal.
Then, in the 55th minute, after conceding a free kick near their own goal, they allowed the opponent to score directly, conceding the opening goal.
Musashi, now in a chasing situation, launched further attacks.
At the 72nd minute, Imamura broke through on the left side, dribbled toward the center, and took a shot, but the opposing GK made a great save.
They created several more chances afterward, but none resulted in a goal as time passed.
Musashi players showed a fighting spirit until the very end, but the final whistle blew with the score remaining 0-1.
