●Match Digest
In Sec. 3 of the Japan Club Youth Championship Tokyo Preliminary 3rd League, under the cool evening weather, the match against Branco Hachioji kicked off at 18:00.
Musashi launched an attack right at kickoff; immediately after the start, Wakasaka rushed in on Ishizuka’s low cross, but the opposing GK made the save.
Two minutes later, Yajima connected with a floating pass from Kitagawa with a header and aimed a lob shot, but it went over the bar. At 4 minutes, Yajima headed down a long ball from Gokatsuide, and Ishizuka took a shot, but it went wide.
At 8 minutes, when the opponent took a free kick, goalkeeper Ohno caught it and delivered an accurate long feed to Ito. Ito timed a through pass to Yoshimura, who was making a well-timed crossover run. When Yoshimura crossed it into the center, it was lucky to be absorbed directly into the goal, resulting in the opening score.
At the 20th minute, Kamoike headed in a corner kick taken by Ito to score an additional goal. In stoppage time, Rikasa attempted a header from Ishizuka’s cross while off balance, but it just missed.
From the start of the second half, Enokido took the pitch replacing Rikasa.
In the 36th minute of the second half, Ishizuka took a shot from an early cross by Enokido, but it hit the opposing defender and resulted in a corner kick. Gokatsu met this corner kick with a powerful header, but the opposing goalkeeper made a brilliant save.
Immediately after, they conceded a goal from a sharp counterattack by the opponent, narrowing the gap to 1-2.
However, in the 43rd minute, Kamoike dived in to meet Yanagisawa's cross, and finally Ito pushed it in to score the third goal.
Right after that, riding the momentum, Ito received a floating pass near the center of the penalty area, controlled it while turning around, and without letting the ball touch the ground, swung his right foot, sending the ball into the goal to score the fourth goal.
At the 47th minute, Tanaka was sent onto the pitch, aiming to score even more goals.
However, a mental lapse caused by an overly aggressive mindset was exploited, allowing the opponent to capitalize on a loose ball from a free kick and concede a goal.
At the 53rd minute, Ito combined with Ishizuka in a one-two to break down the right side and delivered a cross. Tanaka headed it back, and the running Ishizuka volleyed the ball. Although it missed the target, they showed positive play without dwelling on the conceded goal.
Then, at the 57th minute, Kamoike powerfully scored a goal with a volley from a cross by Ito.
At the 61st minute, Tsukada was brought on, followed by Misawa and SASAKI at the 63rd, Okamoto at the 65th, and Sakamoto at the 67th, continuously introducing fresh players to aim for more goals. However, during stoppage time, they faced a crisis by conceding a free kick right in front of the goal. But GK Okamoto firmly caught the ball, and the score remained unchanged, resulting in a 5-2 victory.
We controlled the ball and continued attacking, but the game revealed a mental challenge as we conceded a goal during a brief lapse in concentration. We want to train diligently every day so that we can approach every match with unwavering focus, leaving no room for even a momentary lapse.
