Commentary
Prince Takamado Trophy 21st All Japan Youth (U-15) Soccer Championship Tokyo Preliminary 2nd Round. The first match of the Prince Takamado Trophy for U-15 Musashi was against GIUSTI. The game kicked off at 16:00 under clear skies. U-15 Musashi launched attacks from the start. At 2 minutes, GK Higashimura’s long feed was won by Iwata, who flowed into space. From there, Kamoike, running in from the second line, broke through the defensive line and approached the goal, but his shot went wide to the right of the goal. Two minutes later, Takei aimed a middle-range shot at a loose ball from a cross. Then at 5 minutes, Iwata penetrated deep into the penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot from a tight angle. The shot deflected off the opposing GK’s hand and was sucked into the goal, scoring the long-awaited opening goal. After that, they continued to press the game forward, and at 20 minutes, Ishizuka carefully met a ball that flowed from a cross and targeted the frame, but was denied by the post. Immediately after, Tokuda connected passes to Iwata and then Kamoike, creating a shooting chance, but the opposing GK blocked it, and the first half ended without adding to the score.
At halftime, Miura was sent onto the pitch. At the start of the second half, in the 43rd minute, a second yellow card was shown in this game, resulting in a sending off, but the team continued the match without panic. At the 45th minute, Aoki came onto the pitch. There was a stalemate for a while as the team adjusted to playing with 10 men, but gradually they regained their pace. At the 55th minute, they earned a free kick opportunity, and Iwata leapt forward and headed the ball into the goal, but it was ruled offside. At the 59th minute, Aki was brought on, and at the 61st minute, Bozo Amos entered the pitch. At the 63rd minute, Kamoike broke down the right side and took a shot from around 45 degrees but missed. Immediately after, at the 64th minute, they earned another free kick from a similar position. Tokuda crossed the ball, and once again Iwata connected with a header, scoring an additional goal. Near the end of the match, Iwata received a pass from Aki while moving down the right side and advanced close to the goal, then made a final pass to Bozo Amos, who had run up the center. He neatly kicked it into the goal, securing the decisive third goal. In stoppage time, Abe, who had returned from a long rehabilitation, took the pitch and showed a lively presence. Tough matches will continue ahead, but we want to fight each game with care and determination.
