Commentary

The 4th match of the 3rd league in the Tokyo preliminary round of the Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-15) started at 4:00 p.m., aiming to pass the preliminaries in first place, under the hottest conditions recently.
At 2 minutes into the game, Yoshida received the ball from a throw-in on the left side, evaded one DF, and sent a cross to the center. Iwata jumped in and neatly headed the ball to score the opening goal. At 11 minutes, Iguro broke behind the DF line and had a one-on-one chance with the opposing GK. He skillfully lobbed the ball over the GK’s head to add another goal. At 23 minutes, Iwata, who received a through pass, was fouled by the opposing GK, earning a penalty kick. Sugaya calmly converted it for the third goal. At 25 minutes, Amos Buuso came onto the pitch replacing Iwata. Gradually, possibly due to the heat, mistakes increased and passes stopped connecting, ending the first half.

Re-energized at halftime, fresh players Ito, Ishizuka, and Aoki were brought onto the pitch from the start of the second half. Then, at the 40th minute Kamoi, 41st minute Aki, and 42nd minute Arai were substituted in, increasing the team's work rate to surpass the opponent. Ishizuka made a run onto a through pass from Kamoi and took a shot, but it was blocked by the post. However, immediately after, Ishizuka again ran onto a through pass from Buuzo Amos and this time confidently scored the fourth goal. Afterwards, Arai and Aki threatened the opponent’s goal with long-range shots but were saved by the opposing goalkeeper. At the 53rd minute, Takei received a through pass from Aoki and aimed a shot, but the opposing DF blocked it with his body at the last moment, preventing an additional goal. Conversely, the opponent sought chances on the counterattack, but Tokuda and Morita, focusing on quick transitions, cut off the threats and maintained pressure on the game. With 10 minutes remaining, GK Ohno entered the pitch. During stoppage time, with sharp pressing, the opposing DF was cornered, and a ball that could not be fully cleared went straight into the goal as an own goal, securing the fifth goal and ending the match. As a result, the team was able to advance from the third preliminary league in first place. From the next stage, the tournament begins, and even tougher battles await, but we want to focus and fight with full effort in each match.
