○Match Report
The Sec. 22 match of the Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League Division 1 was held at the Tsukuba Academy Center, facing Kashima Antlers Tsukuba Junior Youth. The intense match kicked off at 1:00 p.m.
From the very start, the game progressed at Kashima Tsukuba's pace, and the movement was sluggish. In the 10th minute of the first half, they conceded the opening goal from a cross following an overlapping run by the opposing defender, making it 0-1. At the 20th minute, they conceded another goal from consecutive crosses, falling behind 0-2. Fukagawa, chasing the deficit from the very beginning of the game, steadily kept possession without rushing and pressed forward, but could not break through Kashima Tsukuba's well-organized block to mount an attack. From the middle of the first half onward, Fukagawa controlled the game for a period, but without creating clear chances, the first half ended 0-2.
The second half began with a formation change, substituting Takeuchi for Shinada.
They launched an offensive from the early moments of the second half. Using FW Suzuki as a focal point, chances were created through dribbling attempts by Hanya and Uchida, but they were unable to convert. At the 60th minute, Daiki HASEGAWA was brought on to replace Hanya. Then at the 68th minute, Oda was substituted in for Nagura, who showed signs of fatigue. This was Oda's first appearance since the final of the national tournament. Oda's breakthrough on the right side hinted at a goal, but Tsukuba's defense remained focused and no score was made. Then at the 78th minute, Tsukuba scored on a counterattack, making it 0-3, and the match ended as such.
Since Kumagaya SC Junior Youth, who played at another venue, lost their match, Fukagawa surpassed Kumagaya in points and secured their place in Division 1 for next season, finishing 10th in this season's league. After the summer club youth competition, the team has a record of 1 win and 6 losses. The Kanto qualifiers for the "Prince Takamado Trophy 25th All Japan Youth (U-15) Soccer Championship"—the last tournament for this year's team—are about to begin. We want to compete within the team once again and prepare for the next game.
