The second round of the Tokyo Club Youth Soccer (U-14) Championship was a triplet.
The match kicked off at 17:30, when it had started to feel a bit chilly.
To gain the upper hand in the match, an opening goal was needed, but the game progressed without being able to execute proactive build-up from the back or aggressive defense from the front line.
In the 10th minute, Nomura skillfully broke through behind the opponent's DF line from a pass by Shirogataki and calmly scored, taking a 1-0 lead.
However, in the 13th minute, they faced a dangerous free kick after a foul in front of the goal, but the shot went over the goal.
Immediately after, Hishiyama broke through again from a pass by Shirogataki. Nomura connected with a cross from Hishiyama, but unfortunately it did not result in a goal.
After that, there was no active movement or dynamism in defense and offense, and the first half ended 1-0.
The second half began with a renewed mindset.
At the 40th minute, Fukuda connected with a cross from Takumi Watanabe, but it went straight to the GK. Gradually, FC Tokyo U-15 Fukagawa began to show more aggressive movements.
At the 50th minute, Koike connected with a header from a cross by Hishiyama on the right side, making it 2-0.
Afterwards, they faced danger due to passing mistakes, but managed to hold off any goals.
However, in stoppage time just before the end of the match, a foul was committed inside the penalty area, resulting in a penalty kick. But this penalty hit the crossbar and did not result in a goal.
The match ended immediately afterward with a 2-0 victory.
Although we won the match, it was a game that made me feel we need more of an attitude to challenge ourselves without fear of mistakes and to take risks and try.
I want the matches to always be held in a lively, dynamic atmosphere. I want to play more and more dynamically and boldly to create matches that lead to the next step.
