●Match Digest
The opponent for Sec. 8 of the 2010 season, 4th Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League, after about three months, was JEF United Ichihara Chiba U-15 Narashino. This was a must-win match to remain in the league. The match kicked off at 3:00 p.m.

Fukagawa aggressively pressed from the front right from the start. However, in the 7th minute, they left the center free from an opponent's throw-in and were nearly caught off guard by a shot, but it went wide. In the 8th minute, Kawakami pressed the opposing DF line, stole the ball, carried it forward, and played a back pass to the minus side. The ball reached Yamaguchi, who ran in, but when Yamaguchi tried to dribble past one DF and take a shot, he was blocked by the opposing DF.

At the 16th minute, Yamaguchi took the ball on the right side and boldly challenged the opposing DF with a dribble. Although he was blocked once by the opposing DF, Saito picked up the loose ball and passed it back to Yamaguchi. With a skillful trap, Yamaguchi faced forward, broke free despite being surrounded by three defenders, and struck the ball into the goal from a tight angle, scoring the long-awaited opening goal.
Furthermore, at the 18th minute, Kato connected directly with a ball dropped by Tomita in the center from a cross by Saito on the right side, but this shot did not hit the target.

They wanted to build momentum, but at the 19th minute, the defender couldn't keep up with the opponent who ran onto a through pass, allowing an equalizing goal. After that, the opponent controlled the ball, and there was more time spent defending in their own half. Even when they regained possession, poor passing accuracy prevented them from finding a rhythm, but they stayed focused in the final moments, closing down and preventing shots.

Then, in the 36th minute, Yamaguchi, having received the ball, created space and laid it off to Kawakami. Kawakami delivered a wonderful low-trajectory switch of play to Saito, who sent in an early cross. When this reached Kato, he took a well-aimed shot with his right foot, piercing the goal and successfully scoring the second goal.

Regaining momentum once again, the forwards continuously recovered the ball not just once but two or three times in succession to apply pressure, and as they started to circulate the ball, a rhythm began to emerge. In the 39th minute, the defense was caught behind again and a shot was taken, but GK Fujinoki calmly caught it. The team then went into halftime leading 2-1.

Just after the start of the second half at the 42nd minute, Tomita headed away a goal kick, and Yamaguchi reacted quickly to break free and calmly slot the ball into the left corner of the goal, adding a valuable extra goal. Gaining momentum, Fukagawa continued to press from the front with coordinated movement and relentless energy, physically challenging opponents in front of the goal to prevent them from playing freely. However, at the 54th minute, a play that seemed to have successfully won the ball by skillfully positioning the body inside the penalty area was judged a foul, resulting in a penalty kick. The opponent converted it cleanly, narrowing the gap to just one goal again.

Desperate to score an additional goal, Fukagawa brought on Nagayama in the 60th minute, replacing Kato. In the 62nd minute, the ball moved from Yamaguchi in the center to Watanabe, then to Kawakami on the left side. Kawakami dribbled past the opposing DF with speed and sent a low cross, which reached Tomita inside, but he was unable to take a shot. In the 72nd minute, Yamaguchi, who had scored twice that day, was replaced by Kishi. Immediately after, during an opponent's corner kick, a loose ball was shot freely, but the DF blocked it with their body. Then, in the 75th minute, it seemed like a dangerous situation as the defense was caught behind, but GK Fujinoki quickly rushed out and cleared the ball one step ahead of the opponent.

After that, they continued to send the ball into the space behind the opponent's DF to make use of Kishi's speed, and even when the ball was lost, they quickly switched and did not allow the opponent to counterattack. Also, all the players showed outstanding stamina, kept running until the end, and by calling out to each other, you could strongly feel their determination to win this match. In stoppage time, the DF line closed in on the opponent's cross, but when the ball slipped through, it left a free player; however, Yamagishi showed quick cover and stopped it with a sliding tackle.
And with that, the match ended 3-2. We achieved our long-awaited first victory in this tournament.

Thank you very much for your enthusiastic support today as well.
