●Match Digest
The opponent for the 4th match of the Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League was Kashiwa Reysol U-15. The match kicked off at 14:00 under a refreshing breeze.
From the start, the opponent controlled the ball and pressed hard, making it difficult to advance the ball forward.
At the 11th minute, the opponent's shot deflected off a teammate, changing its course toward the goal, but GK Fujinoki managed to parry it away. However, at the 18th minute, Fukagawa, who had been holding firm until then, was dribbled past on the right side after a side change, leading to a one-on-one situation with GK Fujinoki. Calmly, the opponent slotted the ball in, conceding the opening goal.
At 20 minutes, when the pressing in midfield weakened, a long-range shot was allowed, but GK Fujinoki made a fine save. However, immediately after, the opponent's FW stole the ball from the restarted play, conceding the second goal.
At the 26th minute, after an interception, Watanabe Ryu and Omura became the starting point and advanced close to the goal, but the pass was intercepted by the opposing DF, missing the chance. Immediately after, Kawakami's long shot went straight to the opposing goalkeeper.
At the 28th minute, Kawakami stole the ball and dribbled while competing with the opposing DF, running up 40 meters and aiming for a shot, but it missed the target. At the 38th minute, a critical danger arose, but Fujinoki deflected it with one hand.
Just before the end of the first half, Kawakami received a throw-in and passed to Tagami. He turned and took a shot, but lost his balance and missed the connection.
At the start of the second half, Oida was brought onto the pitch, replacing Fujinoki.
Right after the start, Omura quickly reacted to a cleared ball, broke free, and took a shot but failed to score. At the 44th minute, GK Oida made an aggressive rush to block an opponent’s through pass, using his body to protect the goal.
Fukagawa was desperate to score the next goal first, but at the 50th minute, they conceded a goal on a counterattack, allowing the third goal, and then at the 70th minute, they were broken down on the left side and conceded another goal, resulting in a 0-4 defeat.
Throughout the match, it was a frustrating game where we were unable to play our own style. From next week, I want to face myself, do my best to overcome this, and steadily build up my efforts.
Thank you very much for all your support today as well.
