Commentary
The 2nd Round, which is the best 12 in the Tokyo Club Youth Soccer U-13 Final Tournament. The opponent is GIUSTI.
There was nervousness in the 1st Round, and we reflected on starting off being pushed by the opponent. This time, we were able to start with momentum right from the beginning of the match.
However, the opponent GISUTI also launched attacks on Fukagawa’s goal through passing play after winning the ball.
As the back-and-forth battle continued, at the 15th minute the opponent sent the ball from the left side behind the central defense. A player who ran in took a shot, but goalkeeper Ito made a desperate save to prevent a goal.
After that, U-15 Fukagawa calmly moved the ball mainly through Motofuji, Hirayama, and Horikawa, looking for chances, but they struggled to get close to the goal. As time passed, although they maintained possession, losing the ball repeatedly led to dangerous situations. At the 21st minute, due to poor defensive coordination, they conceded the opening goal.
Fukagawa desperately wanted to score, but the frustration from conceding a goal caused the whole team to push forward, losing balance in their attack.
At the 30th minute, as the whole team pushed forward, the opponent launched a sharp attack creating a one-on-one situation with the GK. Ito desperately dived but collided with the opponent’s body, resulting in a penalty kick.
The penalty kick was scored, ending the first half at 0-2.
The second half begins, and U-15 Fukagawa is desperate to score. Hasukawa, Watanabe Ryu, and Hirayama apply sharper pressure from the front line, advancing toward the opponent's goal.
However, the opponents also concentrate their players in front of the goal and defend physically, preventing any goals from being scored.
However, with the active offensive participation of fullbacks Sawai and Tsuyoshi Watanabe on both sides, they approached the goal. Then, at the 48th minute, they earned a corner kick. Ohnishi won the aerial duel against the opponent in the center and scored a goal, making it 1-2.
They wanted to add more goals, but calmly moved the ball, skillfully spreading out the opponents while looking for chances.
At the 53rd minute, Hasukawa burst into the space on the left side, received the ball, and crossed it to the center.
Sawai, who ran a long distance from the opposite side, pushed it in to equalize.
U-15 Fukagawa wants to turn the game around from here, but the opponent also defends physically and prevents them from scoring, leading to overtime.
Entering extra time, Fukagawa suddenly gained momentum. At 5 minutes into the first half of extra time (65th minute), they earned a free kick on the right side.
The kicker was Hirayama. He sent the ball between the opponent’s defensive line and goalkeeper. The one who ran in there was once again Sawai. Sawai directly tapped the ball in, successfully turning the game around.
In the second half of extra time, GIUSTI desperately launched attacks, but with Onishi, Yamagishi, and Fukumori at the core of the defense, they managed to secure the victory.
