Commentary
The opponent in the third match of the 4th league of the Tokyo Club Youth Soccer U-13 Tournament was Kaetsu Ariake Junior High School. Since a draw or better would secure advancement to the final tournament, they were an opponent that could not be lost to.
Right after the start of the first half, both teams applied quick pressing, making it difficult to advance forward, resulting in intense battles in midfield. Around the 10th minute, as they gradually began to keep possession and both players and the ball started moving, a large play developed from the left side with a pass to Suzuki on the right side. From behind, Tsuyoshi WATANABE made a strong overlapping run and received the pass. WATANABE immediately crossed to Hasukawa in the center. Although Hasukawa was initially off balance, he turned and shot to score the opening goal. Riding the momentum, U-15 Fukagawa passed again at the 14th minute to Suzuki, who had made a long run from the left side to the right side. Suzuki calmly evaded the opponent and shot, making it 2-0 and gaining the advantage. The first half ended with the team maintaining this favorable position.
Early in the second half, a quick passing play broke down the left side, and a pass was made to Onishi, who overlapped. Onishi cut inside from the side and crossed to the center. Hirata, waiting in the center, volleyed with his left foot to make it 3-0. The team continued to control the match, but Kaetsu Ariake Junior High School also managed to break through the U-15 Fukagawa pressure and approached the goal. However, the defense, led by goalkeeper Gyoda, held firm and did not concede any goals. The stalemate continued until the 49th minute. Hirayama dribbled past a defender with the outside of his right foot and took a shot. The ball struck the goal with momentum, making it 4-0. The match ended with this score. With three consecutive wins in the 4th league, they secured advancement to the Final Round. They hope to achieve good results in the Final Round starting next week.
