Initiatives for Environmental Consideration in Collaboration with Ajinomoto Stadium

Club Announcement

FC Tokyo collaborates with its home stadium, Ajinomoto Stadium, to monitor environmental impact data during home games and promote environmentally conscious match operations.

We have compiled data on waste volume and usage of electricity, water, and gas for home games held during the Meiji Yasuda J.League 100-Year Vision League period. FC Tokyo, based on the four environmental policies and the concept of SPL announced in April 2026, will continue to assess the current situation and implement improvements to contribute to the creation of a sustainable stadium.

At Ajinomoto Stadium, where these practices are implemented, an "Environmental Consideration Guidelines for Events" has been established. Initiatives such as solar power generation on the roof of the south stand, wind power generation in the commercial area, utilization of rainwater, use of well water, wall greening and maintenance of green spaces, composting of food waste and fallen leaves, promotion of waste separation, and advancement of HTT power usage are being carried out. These efforts also relate to items emphasized by SPL, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste reduction management, efficient water use, biodiversity, communication and engagement, and sustainable procurement.

In addition, multifaceted considerations are demonstrated, such as encouraging attendance via public transportation, reducing printed materials, utilizing reusable handouts, suppressing single-use plastics, reducing waste, and proper air conditioning operation. FC Tokyo, in collaboration with these ideas, is promoting the visualization and improvement of environmental impact in the operation of home games.

FC Tokyo will continue to work in collaboration with Ajinomoto Stadium to aim for more sustainable match operations.
