Notice of Cancellation of the Feb 23 (Wed, holiday) Match vs. Iwata and the Feb 26 (Sat) Match vs. Nagoya
The J.League YBC Levain Cup Group Stage Sec. 1 match between FC Tokyo and Júbilo Iwata, scheduled for Feb 23 (Wed, holiday), and the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 2 match between FC Tokyo and Nagoya Grampus, scheduled for Feb 26 (Sat), have been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
At FC Tokyo, multiple top team players and staff have tested positive for the new coronavirus infection, and under the guidance of the jurisdictional health center on Feb 21 (Mon), team activities will be suspended from Feb 20 (Sun) to Feb 26 (Sat) for 7 days to prevent the spread of infection.
As it became clear that the entry requirements stipulated in the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1, J2, and J3 League Match Implementation Guidelines could not be met, the J.League Chairman made the decision to cancel the matches.
We will inform you again as soon as the alternative dates are decided.
