○Match Report
【Challenge for the Future!】

Sec. 15 is an away match against Albirex Niigata.
This match is the final game of the 3rd quarter. Currently, Tokyo is in 2nd place, 3 points behind the top-ranked Aomori Yamada High School. (As of the end of October 1)
We want to accumulate points at all costs and stay in the championship race. With J3 and the National Sports Festival overlapping, we will face this match with a fresh lineup.
Coach Sato said, "This is a game that tests the overall strength of the team. Let's be grateful to compete on the best stage and play with a tough & enjoy spirit."

【First Half】
From the start of the match, Hanya and Premier League debutant Hara actively broke behind the DF line looking for chances, but were blocked by Niigata's tenacious defense and could not score.
On the other hand, Niigata launched counterattacks, but centered around today's game captain Ito, midfield players including Terayama making his debut and Yoshimura returning after a long time, cut off the opponent's attacking opportunities with highly focused defense.
Tokyo controlled the ball throughout and created a scoring atmosphere, but the first half ended 0-0.

[Halftime]
Coach Sato's comment: "It is precisely when we feel like the game is going at our pace that it becomes dangerous. Let's proceed calmly with the match while being fully cautious of counters and set plays."

[Second Half]
As in the first half, the match progresses at Tokyo's pace from the start.
Then, in the 53rd minute, from a free kick near the right side of the penalty area earned through Hanya’s aggressive play, Koki HASEGAWA powerfully headed in a sharp cross from the kicker Ito, successfully scoring the opening goal.
After that, chances were created through Matsuoka’s dribbling breakthroughs and side attacks by Arakawa and Fukino, but no additional goals were scored.
Then, in the 66th minute, a free kick conceded near the penalty area was directly converted by the opponent, leveling the score.
Nevertheless, without losing heart, fresh players Hirakawa, Imamura, and Yoshida were brought on one after another to revitalize the attack.
However, time steadily passed without being able to score an additional goal.
In additional time, from a left-sided inswinging corner kick, Koki HASEGAWA once again took a header shot, but it narrowly missed to the right of the goal, and time was up.
It was unfortunate that we could not secure a victory, but we were able to accumulate a valuable 1 point in the championship race.
The Premier League will resume in November, following the J Youth Cup.
With 3 matches remaining, we will fight with all our might until the end aiming for the best stage.

Thank you very much for your warm support to the players today.
Continuing, we kindly ask for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-18.
