○Match Report
[Continuing the Build-up and Inheriting the History]
Under a clear blue sky without a single cloud, the match against the momentum-driven Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo U-18, who secured their first win last round, kicked off at the home ground, [Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multipurpose Ground].
Before the match, as Coach Sato said, 'Let's prepare thoroughly so we can start well from the first half,' Tokyo scored the opening goal early in the game.
At 3 minutes into the first half, Uchida, who won the duel against the opponent near Sapporo's area, connected the ball, and finally Sato boldly struck with his left foot to score a goal.
The first shot led to a goal.
At the 7th minute, Uchida, who applied pressure upfront, successfully stole the ball from the Sapporo DF and quickly passed it to Okuma, who took a shot, but it went off target.
Tokyo, taking the lead with a focused start, created rhythm by using the left side as the starting point for their attacks.
At the 13th minute, Go HATANO’s punt kick allowed Uchida to break free, and from the cross, Sato took a header shot but could not hit the target.
At the 15th minute, after connecting passes along the DF line, Okazaki sent a feed forward, and once again Uchida broke free on the left side.
He cut inside from there and aimed a controlled shot with his right foot, but was denied by a great save from the Sapporo GK.
Tokyo’s continuous attacks aiming for the goal once again led to a score.
At the 16th minute, from the flow of a corner kick, Suzuki reacted on the opposite side and powerfully struck the ball with the outside of his left foot, adding another goal.
After that, from Tokyo's precise passing, Sato and Koyama took shots. They approached the Sapporo goal with Okuma's header from Yanagi's cross, among others.
At the 37th minute, Koyama on the left side connected a short pass to Sato in the center, who without hesitation took a direct shot that was drawn into the left corner of the goal, adding another point.
At the 42nd minute, Suzuki advanced from midfield and passed to Uchida, who dodged one DF and accurately placed the ball into the left corner, making it 4-0 and ending the first half.
Although Tokyo scored 4 goals in the first half, Coach Sato urged the players to maintain even greater focus, saying, 'It’s unlikely to end like this. Show the same or even greater determination in the second half.'
The second half began quietly, with both teams cautiously seeking opportunities through possession without overexerting themselves.
Tokyo was focused on defense, but at the 56th minute, they conceded a goal after a brief lapse broke through their defensive line.
However, at the 60th minute, substitute Ikiji broke free down the left side and delivered a grounded cross that Sato finished into the left corner, completing his hat-trick.
Afterwards, although they tried to make changes such as player substitutions, time passed without either side taking a shot.
In the 68th minute, Yanagi’s cross was initially cleared, but Abe quickly switched play to regain possession and passed to the unmarked Koyama.
Koyama calmly struck the ball with his left foot, hitting the left post and being drawn into the goal for the sixth point.
At 75 minutes, Sapporo also broke through from the right side to the center and created a one-on-one situation with the GK, but Tokyo GK Go HATANO’s precise positioning allowed him to block the ball with his body and prevent a goal.
Furthermore, despite giving the opponent chances, they maintained their concentration and did not concede a goal.
After that, Tokyo continued to press forward, but could not bring the ball to a shot, and a stalemate period continued.
In stoppage time, Hanya broke free from a long ball and aimed a lob shot but could not hit the target.
The match ended as it was with a 6-1 victory.
