●Match Digest
J Youth Cup 2011, 19th J League Youth Championship Tournament, Preliminary League, A Group, 2nd Match. Today's opponent is Mito Hollyhock Youth.
Since they lost the first match, this game demanded a result.
Under a cloudy sky that looked like it might start raining at any moment, the kickoff took place at 1:00 p.m. at Fukagawa Ground.

The first half kicked off with Mito in possession.
Right from the start of the match, Tokyo circulated the ball and built their attack at their own pace.
1 minute: Kishi received the ball on the left side and laid it off once to Nihei, who was running up from behind. Nihei feigned a cross but tried to dribble into the penalty area, only to be fouled by the opposing defender's foot. It was thought to be a penalty kick, but the referee judged it a free kick just outside the area. Fukumori caught them off guard and immediately passed to Nozawa in the center. Nozawa was also fouled and awarded another free kick. Reacting quickly to the restart, Kishi broke free and tried to dribble forward, but was cleared by the opposing defender at the last moment.
5 minutes: Nihei received the ball on the left side, confirmed the loose marking, and dribbled quickly all the way to the touchline. From there, he simply passed it back to Fukumori, who immediately sent the ball directly to the center. The ball flowed toward the far post, but Aoki, who was positioned high up, picked it up and passed it to Nozawa. Nozawa also sent a simple cross, but it was cleared by the opposing defender, resulting in a corner kick. Nihei quickly started a short corner from the left, and Fukumori, receiving the ball, cut inside toward the center and unleashed a powerful long-range shot! The sharp trajectory just went over the bar, so no opening goal.
8 min: Fukumori received a throw-in on the right side and made a no-look through pass vertically to Kishi! Kishi, who ran onto the pass, made a deep cutback to evade the opponent and entered the penalty area. He took a mid-range shot with his left foot, but it also missed the target.
Tokyo quickly regained possession with a swift cutback, increasing their time with the ball.
10 min: Fukumori receives the ball on the left side and lays it off to Yoshida behind him. Yoshida dribbles past one opposing defender and crosses! Yamaguchi runs in at the far post, controls the ball with his chest, and Fukumori takes a direct shot! However, this also narrowly goes wide to the left.
11 min: Tani’s huge punt kick goes directly to Kishi up front. After a skillful turn, he beats one opponent and sends a backward pass to the center, but it doesn’t connect.
17 min: Buzo Amos holds the ball with a post play. When he switches to the left side, Nihei dribbles past two opposing defenders and enters the area. He fakes a shot, carries the ball to the center, and unleashes a powerful shot, but it goes wide to the left side.
24 min: A series of precise passes from Fukumori to Nihei to Yamaguchi and back to Nihei, who takes a shot from the center! However, the goalkeeper blocks it.
27 min: The match progresses at Tokyo's pace, with many attempts on goal but no breakthrough for the opening score. However, Tokyo remains completely composed and continues steadily, finally reaching the moment when their patience pays off. Aoki receives a throw-in on the right side, quickly turns and breaks through vertically, delivering a cross! Kishi skillfully traps the ball in front of the central goal and, turning around, strikes sharply with his left foot! He scores the opening goal.
33 minutes: When Kishi received the ball on the right side, he immediately started dribbling. With a unique rhythm of dribbling and precise touches, he skillfully got past the opposing defenders one after another and brought the ball in front of the goal. Although his shot from the center of the penalty area was blocked, Amos picked up the rebound and took a free shot! It went in beautifully, adding another goal. The score became 2-0.
The flow of the game completely shifts in Tokyo's favor.
36 minutes: Tokyo keeps possession throughout, continuously attacking while pushing the opponents into their penalty area. Amos quickly intercepts a clearance from the opposing defenders, carries the ball alone, dribbles past the defenders, and shoots! This also goes in beautifully, making it 3-0.
36: The relentless attack does not stop. Nihei receives the ball in the center outside the area and unleashes a powerful long-range shot! It flies on a wonderful trajectory but is met with a fine save by the opposing goalkeeper. However, Fukumori quickly follows up on the rebound and pushes it in for the fourth goal.
40 min: The goal rush still doesn't stop. They earn a corner kick opportunity but it keeps getting cleared, reaching their fifth consecutive corner. Fukumori connects with the ball from Nihei but it is cleared again. Nihei picks up the rebound, and Fukumori sends it back to the center once more. Ishihara, waiting on the far side, neatly lays it down, and Nozawa takes a middle-range shot from the center! The low-trajectory shot beautifully shakes the goal net, making it 5-0.
After that, Tokyo, riding the momentum, continued to attack without easing their grip.
They reached halftime without allowing the opponent to take a single shot in the first half.

In the second half, Tokyo continued to press Mito with the same momentum as in the first half.
46 minutes: Right after the start, although they were pushed back near Tokyo’s area by a long ball, Aoki and Ishihara calmly responded and cleared the danger without trouble.
47 minutes: Aoki received the ball on the right side and broke through vertically with a one-two pass with Nozawa. He cut deeply and made the final pass to Amos in the center! Amos turned and fired a powerful shot on target, but the opposing goalkeeper made a great save to block it.
55 minutes: From calm passing, Nihei received the ball on the left side and made a through pass to Amos, who had started running forward! The pass connected beautifully, and after a quick turn to evade the opponent, Amos crossed the ball into the center. Nozawa ran in and neatly headed it in! Tokyo continued their characteristic quick passing in the second half and added to their score, making it 6-0.
The two forwards, Kishi and Amos, ran well and continuously applied intense pressure from the front on the opposing defenders, leaving them no openings.
63rd minute: A vertical pass reaches defensive midfielder Yamaguchi, who had taken a high position from the back line. He dribbles up through the wide-open space and shoots just outside the penalty area! However, before he could shoot, he was heavily checked by the opposing defender and fouled. A free kick is awarded at an excellent central position just outside the area.
65': Fukumori aimed a powerful shot from this free kick, but unfortunately it hit the wall and was deflected. Yamaguchi picked up the rebound, then the ball was played to the right side through Aoki to Ishihara. Ishihara's cross perfectly found Amos in front of the goal, who controlled it and smashed it into the net to make it 7-0. With this, Buzo Amos completed his hat-trick.
68': The ball is played from Nozawa to Yoshida, who is free on the left side. From here, he dribbles past the opposing defenders and cuts inside. He enters the penalty area and unleashes a powerful shot from a tight angle, but it narrowly hits the side netting. So close!
70': From the left side, Kishi makes a large switch of play to Yoshida on the right side. Yoshida feints an early cross but then cuts sharply into the center. After dribbling past two opposing defenders, he unleashes a powerful shot with his left foot! This one also narrowly misses, hitting the side netting.
The opponents, who have been under constant attack, begin to show signs of fatigue. However, Tokyo does not ease up on their offense.
78 minutes: Wakasaka, Iwata, and Hiyoka are brought on, replacing Fukumori, Amos, and Kishi. All three forwards are substituted at once, aiming for additional goals with a refreshed lineup. Iwata returns to the pitch for the first time in a while after recovering from injury.
84': Coach Kuramata's strategy quickly shows results. Reioka steals the ball in the center and launches a short counterattack. After passing to Iwata, he sprints to the front line and receives a return pass. He then breaks through cleanly and slots it in, making it 8-0.
84': Kawakami is brought on to replace Nihei.
88 min: Iwata, who received the ball from a slightly deeper position, created a wonderful pause, drew in the opposing defenders, and then passed to Aoki on the right side. Aoki shook off the defenders with his speed and sent the ball to the center, where Iwata flicked it on with his head, allowing Reioka, who was behind, to slot it in! They added another goal with a beautiful buildup. The score is now 9-0.
The Tokyo eleven still show expressions of dissatisfaction. From goalkeeper Tani, there is also a shout of "Let's go from here! Keep it up, keep it up!"
90 minutes: Nozawa beautifully clears the opponent's corner kick! Aoki picks up the ball and dribbles forward to launch a counterattack. On the right side, Wakasa receives the ball, breaks through vertically, and then delivers a low cross! Reioka neatly connects with it and achieves a hat-trick just 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute! 10-0.
90+1 min: Iwata received the ball in the center, and the ball quickly circulated from Nozawa to Aoki. Aoki feigned a cross and took advantage of the loose marking to unleash a powerful shot to the near side! It pierced through, securing the 11th goal.
The match ended with momentum maintained throughout.
The opponent's shots were limited to just one in the second half, and both defense and offense functioned well in the match.

The next opponent is Kashima Youth. As Coach Kuramata said, "Although we got a result today, if we don't win the next match against Kashima, today's victory will be meaningless, so we want to firmly win the next game as well and advance to the Final Round." Kashima is the team they once lost to in the summer Club Youth Championship Kanto Tournament final.
We want to cherish today’s positive image, fully repay our summer loss, and secure advancement to the Final Round.
Thank you very much to everyone who cheered us on today despite the poor footing.
The next match is a crucial game to qualify for the Final Round.
Although it will be an away game, we appreciate your passionate support!
