Commentary
The first match of the 2010 T League was against FC Machida Zelvia. Although the weather was warm and pleasant, occasional somewhat strong winds blew as the match kicked off at 15:00.
U-15 Musashi aimed to quickly switch from offense to defense and continuously maintain their attack. Just 2 minutes into the game, from the center where it seemed the opponents had consolidated, Kamoike broke free through a pass exchange with a teammate, faced the GK one-on-one, and calmly scored to take a 1-0 lead.
They wanted to keep pressing continuously to quickly gain the upper hand in the match. At the 9th minute, Yajima connected with Yanagisawa's cross but unfortunately hit the post. Then, Wakasa tried to capitalize on the rebound but failed to score. At the 11th minute, Kitagawa took a long shot, and at the 13th minute, they combined inside from a corner kick cross, but they couldn't add another goal.
Meanwhile, at the 16th minute, they faced a dangerous counterattack they had been wary of. They managed to defend it somehow, and immediately after, at the 18th minute, from a pass by Kitagawa, a one-two between Yajima and Kamoike ended with Yajima scoring, making it 2-0.
Aiming for a third goal, at the 22nd minute, Kobayashi had a header shot from a corner kick, and at the 25th minute, they created chances by building up from the defensive line, with Yajima taking a shot in the end. However, they could not convert these chances, and the first half ended 2-0.
In the second half, the team was instructed to attack more by using passing exchanges and dribbling to draw out the opponent. They were also told to vary their crosses depending on the opponent’s formation.
Additionally, Misawa was brought in, Enokido was moved up to midfield, Kitakawa took the stopper position, and Ito was placed as the defensive midfielder. Early in the second half, Misawa made an aggressive overlapping run and took a shot, but it narrowly missed.
At the 39th minute, from the build-up by Kitagawa and Kamoike, Ishizuka broke through and took a shot, but it was blocked by the opponent. Then, at the 44th minute, Ito took a middle-range shot, followed by a lob shot from Wakasa at the 45th minute, actively aiming for the goal, but they could not secure the third goal.
However, without rushing and repeatedly exchanging passes, U-15 Musashi advanced toward the opponent's goal, and at the 48th minute, Kamoike scored again in the center of the goal to make it 3-0.
Riding this momentum, U-15 Musashi had Ishizuka score directly from a free kick at the 54th minute, making it 4-0. After that, Misawa, Yoshimura, Tsukada, Takayama, and others who came on in the second half moved around actively and created chances.
However, perhaps feeling secure with a 4-goal lead, at the 58th minute a momentary lapse caused by a pass mistake led to a counterattack and a dangerous situation. Fortunately, Kitagawa held on and earned a corner kick.
During the subsequent corner kick, Okamoto, who had just been substituted in, aggressively came forward to catch the ball, making a fine play to prevent the danger. Immediately after, at the 59th minute, Kamoike completed a hat-trick, making it 5-0 and sealing the match.
The subsequent crisis was also prevented by Enokido's covering, and the match ended with a 5-0 score. Winning the first match was very important for the team. However, we must improve our confidence in attacking by making passes and dribbles that draw out the opponent, as well as enhance our attitude of deliberately taking the ball away through defense. We will make the most of this match and do our best in the next round.
