□Comment from Kazunori YOSHIMOTO
“I have not been able to contribute in matches this year, and it has been difficult to make an impact, so I sincerely apologize for being transferred in the middle of the season while serving as the players’ chairman, a role responsible for team cohesion. I joined Tokyo’s Academy at the age of 12, and I dreamed of wearing the captain’s armband with the number 4 jersey. I strongly wished to become a champion with Tokyo. Although I was very concerned about transferring while the team was in a position to win the championship, I felt the need to challenge myself and made the decision.
I am confident that I have loved Tokyo more than anyone else, along with my local grandfather in Kodaira during my time here. This time, I am transferring temporarily, but it will always remain true that Tokyo is a club that has nurtured me both as a football player and as a person.
I sincerely hope that my beloved Tokyo, which has been part of more than half of my life, will win the league.
Thank you very much to the fans, supporters, stakeholders, and everyone who has supported me through difficult and painful times.”
