□Player's Comment
'Hello everyone! Thank you very much for your continued support of FC Tokyo.'
Although it is in the middle of the season, I, Naohiro ISHIKAWA, have decided to retire at the end of this season.
This morning, I reported on my personal blog, but I injured myself in a friendly match with Frankfurt in August 2015, and although I returned to J3 in September last year after surgery, my condition worsened again. I have been working on rehabilitating my left knee, which has been hurting for my comeback, but I haven't been able to recover as much as I thought. In addition, I have been frustrated by not being able to contribute to the team on the pitch. In this situation, I have become strongly determined to give my all for the remaining season with even stronger determination, responsibility, and pride, which led to this decision.
However, I believe that reflecting on everything will come after the season has ended.
I want to move forward while sharing feelings with many companions that can only be experienced and felt now.
Even if only for a short time, I want to change the atmosphere by stepping onto the Ajinomoto pitch, be dynamic, and connect it to results.
I would like to express my gratitude to all the fans and supporters who have supported us so far, including Seok Ho HWANG, and to repay them as a player with the last opportunity we have fought together.
To everyone, "Thank you." And I look forward to your continued support.
