[U-15 Fukagawa] Day 6 of Korea Expedition

[Day 6 of Korea Expedition]

Honda will report on the final day of the expedition.
There is little mention of soccer, but please take a look!

We woke up in the morning with several players having gone to bed late because they couldn’t do their laundry properly the night before. This is a common experience on expeditions, but it is also an important learning experience from failure.
How much are we helped and supported by others in our daily living environment?
How much of a habit do we have of taking action on our own?

And, although we bought souvenirs the day before, as expected, we bought too many, causing a problem where they wouldn’t fit in the carry case, leading to a hectic preparation for returning home.
There was a suggestion from Suyon-san to send the luggage by parcel service, which relieved the players, but Coach Yamaguchi said, "It's because you don't consider the capacity of the case you prepared yourself and don't buy things in a planned way! Sending separately may incur additional charges. Everyone should bring their belongings back under the same conditions."
Some players have their luggage neatly organized, while others are in a state of "How am I supposed to carry all this?".
Coach Yamaguchi and Physical Coach Hirata provide only the minimum explanations and do not intervene in everything. Various experiences of success and failure will connect to their future.

This time, Coach Yamaguchi, Ms. Suyon, and Mr. Park consulted repeatedly on site, allowing the players to gain various experiences beyond just soccer. In addition to their soccer experience, they enjoyed affordable traditional dishes daily at local eateries, and on rest days, they visited Korea's top theme park, immersing themselves in various aspects of Korean culture.
We believe this experience will enrich the players' lives.
From the hectic preparations to departure, the final day's opponent was Tongjin Middle School, a top 4 team (Gyeonggi Province).

The final day was blessed with good weather, and we ended the last match with a 2-1 victory.

There were many remarkable incidents during the preparations and travel for returning home. These incidents were just as Coach Yamaguchi expected.
What is important is what kind of actions you can take when the moment comes.
We want you to be someone who not only watches others fail but also influences and impacts people toward success. We hope such people will be in FC Tokyo’s top team. Through the overseas expedition, there were many lessons and failures. We believe this is important. Through challenges accompanied by failure, the players learn, become grateful, and grow.

We pursue soccer, but in the end, it’s not about that. Both the beginning and the end are about people.
Aiming to be players who move people’s hearts, are loved, and supported, we will continue to accumulate many challenges and failures.
To all the fans and supporters, please look forward to it.
Among these players who have been passionately coached by Coach Yamaguchi, there will definitely be some who stand on the pitch at Ajinomoto Stadium.
When that day comes, please send this motto.

"Passion!!"

Finally, we would like to express our deep gratitude to Suyeon and Park, who have coordinated and supported this expedition up to now.
And this Korea expedition was successfully carried out thanks to the great understanding and cooperation of everyone involved in the club, each junior high school, and each family.
We express our deep gratitude here.

・Player Nagi Yonemoto
Today was the final day of the Korea expedition. From the morning, we fell behind in preparations for returning home and for the match. This delay in preparation affected the warm-up. When the match was about to start, everyone encouraged each other and was able to switch gears to face the game. After the match ended, we made use of the morning’s reflections, called out to each other, and were able to quickly prepare for the return trip.
In soccer, we were all conscious of the issue from yesterday about how to get into the game, and because of that, I think we were able to score early in the first half.
During this training camp, I believe we were able to deepen our understanding of each of our challenges and strengths. We want to make use of this experience and grow together as a team.
