The J.League manages the "trademark rights and copyrights related to the J.League's logos, emblems, flags, mascots, etc.", the "copyrights and neighboring rights related to videos (moving images) and still images of official J.League matches and official events", as well as the "portrait rights of players, managers, coaches, etc. related to official matches and official events". To protect and effectively utilize these rights, the 'J.League Portrait Rights, Copyrights, Trademark Rights Usage Regulations' have been established. Additionally, FC Tokyo has set its own club-specific regulations, separate from the usage rules managed by the J.League for portraits, logos, etc., as outlined below. We kindly ask you to thoroughly understand these regulations and cooperate in adhering to the rules.
●Portraits, designs, trademarks, etc. managed by FC Tokyo
- Portraits of players, managers, coaches, etc. in practice matches, practice scenes, local events, event scenes related to matches, and interview scenes.
- Club logos, emblems, flags, and mascots.
- Caricatures, animations, names, voices, signatures, uniforms, etc. of players, managers, coaches, and others.
Prohibited Items
◇Use of Video
The following uses are strictly prohibited.
- Use of video on the internet (including cases where part of the video is used as a still image) is strictly prohibited regardless of whether it is by news organizations, public institutions, individuals, or others. Use of audio only is also prohibited.
- It is prohibited for individuals to publicly broadcast videos or other recorded footage without permission, except for their own personal enjoyment.
- The use of footage in any media with the intent to slander or defame individuals or groups involved in soccer or the J League is prohibited.
◇Still Images
The following uses are strictly prohibited.
- Use of portraits in self-published works, as well as in internet activities conducted voluntarily by individuals or groups.
- Use of portraits on the internet when providing paid information through subscription fees.
- Use of portraits on the internet for commercial purposes by companies, voluntary organizations, etc.
- Use of portraits on the internet by news organizations in contexts other than "sports reporting."
- Use of portraits in any media with the intent to slander or defame individuals or groups involved in soccer or the J League.
◇Designs, Trademarks, etc.
- Use in self-published materials, as well as internet activities conducted voluntarily by individuals or groups.
- Use on the internet for paid information services requiring fees.
- Use on the internet by companies, voluntary organizations, etc., for commercial purposes.
- As stated in "Secondary Use for Reporting," use on the internet by news organizations for content other than "sports reporting."
- Use in designs such as illustrations.
- Use of designs and trademarks in any media for the purpose of slandering or defaming individuals or groups involved in soccer or the J League.
