[Futsal School] Vermont Cup Activities (2026)
The 'FC Tokyo Futsal School Team (*)', which started in October 2025 to participate in the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) preliminary tournament, concluded about 10 months of activities on July 19, 2026.
(*) … This is a team composed exclusively of FC Tokyo Futsal School students, formed to participate in the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) organized by the Japan Football Association.

At the start of this team, at the end of September 2025, a recruitment and selection trial was held among the students enrolled in the FC Tokyo Futsal School who wished to participate in the tournament.
The 20 selected 3rd to 5th grade elementary school students, chosen through the selection process, engaged in team activities for about 10 months through 1 to 2 practice sessions or practice matches per week, each lasting 2 hours (this is the only team activity for elementary school age groups at FC Tokyo).

During the activities, many practice matches, quasi-official matches (Brillia Cup and invitational matches), training camps, and expeditions were held to prepare for the main tournament.

The results of the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) preliminary tournament were 2 wins in the preliminary league with 3 teams, but the team was eliminated in the 2nd Round (Round of 16) of the final tournament.
This is the 6th year of this activity, and we were able to achieve our best-ever result by reaching the Best 16.

We have also received tremendous support and assistance from everyone in this activity.
In particular, Fresh Del Monte Corporation has provided delicious bananas every year, which have been a great source of energy for the players during training camps and matches.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again express our gratitude to all the many stakeholders who supported us and to everyone who understood and cooperated with us. Thank you very much.

This FC Tokyo Futsal School team has focused not only on improving soccer and futsal technical and tactical skills but also on behavior based on the mindset of a player called 'Aoaka Kids,' emphasizing proactive actions and conduct as an individual player.
Additionally, through meetings and reflections using video and note-taking, we have valued the cycle of analyzing ourselves and the entire team to approach the next practice, as well as the connections and bonds formed by working together with other age groups toward the same goal.
Over the course of what feels like both a long and short 10 months, participants were able to gain experiences that cannot be had through regular school activities alone, likely feeling growth both as individuals and as players.

The coaching staff for this activity hold coaching licenses from the Japan Football Association for both soccer and futsal, and strive to provide hybrid coaching that can be applied not only to futsal but also to soccer.
Additionally, by having a dedicated goalkeeper coach on site, we have created an environment where goalkeepers can also steadily improve their skills.

Although this is a limited-time activity, many futsal school students challenge themselves to participate every year.
Additionally, there are players who move to the futsal school or add courses to challenge themselves from the soccer school (not only the regular classes but also the Selected Class and Advanced Class).
Why not further develop yourself amid the tension and joy of competing in official matches hosted by the Japan Football Association, wearing the FC Tokyo emblem together with your teammates?
The team for the 2027 season will hold its selection trials in September 2026. If you are interested, we look forward to your trial experience at the futsal school.
