[For 1st and 2nd Grade Elementary Students] In-School Exchange Match at Ajinomoto Stadium

School Report

On Monday, May 4th (a public holiday), we held an "In-School Exchange Match" for 1st and 2nd grade elementary students attending the FC Tokyo Soccer and Futsal School at FC Tokyo's home stadium, Ajinomoto Stadium.

On the day, about 100 school students from the two grades participated, forming teams with friends they usually practice with as well as new friends they met for the first time, and played matches.

Blessed with clear skies that made it hard to believe it had rained the day before, we fully enjoyed soccer on a perfect day for the sport.

Even before the event started, smiles were overflowing from the school students standing on the pitch (artificial turf area) of Ajinomoto Stadium, where the top team usually plays their matches!

Although the event was held in the intense heat, the school students energized the venue with powerful play that did not succumb to the heat.

Not only the play of the school students participating in the matches but also the school students and coaches waiting on the bench passionately cheered for their teammates, creating an impressive scene of the entire team passionately fighting as one!

In the placement matches, a fierce battle unfolded as everyone gave their all until the very end!

At the closing ceremony's announcement of rankings, applause was given not only to the winning team but to all teams, reflecting the warmth of the FC Tokyo family, including coaches, school students, and parents.

Smiles overflowed from the winning team, while some teams showed disappointed expressions, and words like "I want to participate again!" and "Next time, we'll get revenge" were also impressive.

It was a valuable opportunity for the school students to unite and get excited in the same stadium as the top team!!
