[Day 2 Activity Report] France Expedition 2025
The second day of the France expedition has started.
Last night, tired from the travel, we fell asleep immediately after getting into bed and woke up refreshed this morning.
For breakfast, we went to a bakery in town.
There were many delicious-looking breads lined up, and I was really struggling to choose, but everyone took their favorite bread home and enjoyed it along with the juices and fruits that were also prepared!

Before departure, some children were worried about the local food, but they were all very impressed and enjoyed eating everything deliciously!
After finishing eating, the children thoroughly took care of cleaning up, such as washing dishes and tidying the rooms, and they are consciously working on acting independently in their daily lives!

After breakfast, we took a local bus and went sightseeing around the town of Dinan.
In Dinan, we visited the market that is held from morning until around noon.
Even for the same types of vegetables, the sizes were completely different from those in Japan, and the children really enjoyed seeing the local ingredients!

After the market, we moved to a spot on top of the city walls with a beautiful view, and while enjoying the scenery, we ate French bread sandwiches prepared by the bakery we visited in the morning.

After that, we took a leisurely stroll through the historic town of Dinan, photographing the timber-framed houses and the approximately 800-meter cobblestone slope, unique to France. After walking for about an hour,
we enjoyed brownies and kouign-amann, which we also received from a bakery, as a snack.
All of them were truly delicious, and the children were impressed by the authentic bread!!

In the afternoon, we returned to the lodging from Dinan and went sightseeing in Saint-Malo, known as the pirate town.
In Saint-Malo, there is a coastline. First, we enjoyed the beautiful sea view from the city walls, then went down to the beach where we ran freely on the sand and played by dipping our feet in the sea!

After San Malo, we visited Coco's house, played a little in the garden, and then had dinner.
Tonight, we were treated to the specialties of the Brittany region where we are staying: buckwheat galettes and crepes.

Today was another very fulfilling day.
We are experiencing environments and cultures different from Japan and absorbing many things!!
Tomorrow morning, we plan to visit a local school, and in the afternoon, we will train for the tournament!
