Notice of a Top Team Player Testing Positive for COVID-19

One player from the top team has tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), so we would like to inform you.
The player in question underwent the J.League-designated antigen test and a PCR test at a medical institution on Friday, July 29, and tested positive. They are currently recuperating under appropriate measures.
Furthermore, based on the activities and behavior history in accordance with the J.League COVID-19 guidelines, there are no close contacts related to this case.

□ Progress and Symptoms of the Player
On July 29 (Fri), the player underwent a J.League-designated antigen test and tested positive. A PCR test was also conducted at a medical institution, which returned positive, confirming a positive diagnosis for COVID-19.
Currently, the individual has no symptoms. They are recuperating under appropriate measures.

Furthermore, for the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 23 match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima held on Saturday, July 30 (7:00 p.m. kickoff / EDION Stadium Hiroshima), screening tests will be conducted on the day of the match based on J League regulations. In addition to the previously established eligibility requirements, only players and staff who test negative in the screening will be eligible to participate in the match on that day.

The club will continue to implement the COVID-19 infection control measures it has been working on and will strive to enforce infection prevention measures more thoroughly than ever before.
