[Report] FC Tokyo Players' Association Visit to Elementary Schools

Hometown Activities

On November 9 (Tue), 16 (Tue), and 17 (Wed) in 2021, FC Tokyo Players' Association conducted elementary school visits.

This visit, which is the 14th visit as part of the FC Tokyo Players Association's elementary school visit, was conducted online again this year due to the impact of the novel coronavirus.
Although it was through a screen, we enjoyed interacting with the children from our hometown.

□Comment from Takuya UCHIDA (FC Tokyo Players' Association President)
“We conducted the elementary school visits again this year with the heartfelt desire of all the players to be even a little positive influence and to give power to the elementary school students in our hometown who always support us. Since it was online, I was worried whether what we wanted to convey would be properly communicated, but I was relieved that we were able to have a much better conversation than I expected. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot actually go to schools and interact with the elementary school students, but I believe there are things we can convey just by talking, so it was truly great that we were able to carry this out with the cooperation of everyone around us. By talking with the local elementary school students, we also felt that we need to work harder than ever before, and I was reminded that we must show the image of a 'professional soccer player who is an admired figure,' just as we envisioned when we were elementary school students ourselves.”
