○Match Report
【Challenge for the Future!】
FC Tokyo U-18, having stopped their consecutive losses in the previous match, hosted Albirex Niigata U-18 at the Kodaira Ground for a home game.
With the aim of chasing the top teams and as the last official match before the national tournament, they sought not only the result but also to deliver a solid performance.
Eiji and Ito, who also played for FC Tokyo U-23 in the J3 League held in Okinawa the day before, were also named in the starting lineup and took on this match.
【First Half】
While both teams tried to connect the ball from their DF lines, Niigata responded simply from their DF line to the space behind Tokyo's defense and to the second balls contested by the FW.
Tokyo also targeted behind Niigata's DF line with their DF line and midfielder Ito. Additionally, Okaniwa and Ikiji repeatedly made aggressive moves from the right side.
The opening goal was scored by attacking from the right side.
At the 10th minute, the ball came from Ikiji on the right side to Matsuoka, who carefully laid it off to Shinada. Shinada then unleashed a powerful long-range shot with his left foot from outside the penalty area, shaking the net.
Building on their momentum, Tokyo's Ito stole the ball in midfield at the 21st minute and delivered the final pass to Hanya, who calmly scored an additional goal.
Then, at the 25th minute, from Sakaguchi's feed, Uchida broke through behind the left side and faced a one-on-one with the goalkeeper inside the penalty area but was denied by a great save.
Continuing with aggressive play in both offense and defense, Tokyo pressured the opposing DF line and took the ball away through Matsuoka in the 45th minute, just before the first half ended.
Finally, the ball was passed to Hangai, who calmly scored with his right foot, ending the half at 3-0.
[Second Half]
Tokyo substituted Kobayashi for Matsuoka. Switching to a two-forward formation with Uchida and Hangai, Kobayashi took the left side.
Niigata also made two substitutions and launched a counterattack, but Tokyo scored their fourth goal in the 47th minute at the start of the half.
Uchida, who moved up front, pressed the opposing DF line to win the ball and passed it to Hangai.
Hangai calmly slotted the ball into the goal as well, completing a hat-trick.
However, from here the momentum shifted to Niigata.
Tokyo's overall pressure on the ball relaxed, and Niigata also started to attack aggressively.
In response, Suzuki and Sugiyama were brought on to score additional goals, but Niigata's defense continued to hold their ground in front of the goal, making it difficult to score.
The number of times Niigata pressed near the goal increased, but the defense, centered around Go HATANO, responded without losing concentration, and the match ended 4-0.
Accumulated 3 points.
Thank you very much for your warm support to the players today.
Continuing, we kindly ask for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-18.
