○Match Digest
FC Tokyo U-15 Musashi faced the 25th Prince Takamado Trophy All Japan Youth (U-15) Soccer Championship Tokyo Qualifiers and the 24th Tokyo Youth (U-15) Soccer Championship Representative Deciding Match. The must-win match against Jefa FC for advancement to the Kanto Tournament kicked off at 4:00 p.m.

From the start, Musashi aimed for the goal while maintaining possession of the ball. At 2 minutes, Ikiji cut in from the right side to the center and delivered a perfect pass to Kuwahara in front of the goal. Kuwahara connected with his head, but unfortunately, it went just wide. Then at 10 minutes, Matsuoka took advantage of a brief gap to get behind the opposing DF, dribbled past the opponent, and struck with his left foot, but was stopped by the opposing GK. The game changed at 14 minutes. While moving the ball in midfield and looking for a chance, the well-coordinated combination between Ito and Kuwahara brought joy. Ito delivered a wonderful middle pass to Kuwahara, who had moved diagonally past the opponent’s last defensive line. Kuwahara skillfully controlled the ball, evaded the opposing GK, and his shot shook the net, scoring the long-awaited opening goal!! Musashi, persistently pressing toward the goal, built rhythm at 38 minutes by connecting short passes among Ikiji, Ito, and Kobayashi Masataka in midfield. Finally, Kobayashi Masataka broke behind the opposing DF with a pass & run, was fouled inside the area, and earned a penalty kick. Matsuoka calmly converted this to score an additional goal!! The first half proceeded with a well-balanced attack and defense, ending with a 2-0 lead.

From the start of the tightly focused second half, they aimed for an additional goal without showing any gaps. At the 44th minute, they quickly transitioned to attack after winning the ball in their own half. Sekiguchi received a long pass from Kiji, dribbled cutting in from the left side, and passed to Matsuoka who ran into the front of the goal. Matsuoka took a shot with his left foot, but it was blocked by the opponent’s goalkeeper with a great save. At the 56th minute, Takahashi intercepted an opponent’s pass and charged forward, breaking through the left side. He aimed for the goal with his left foot, but again the opposing goalkeeper stopped it. After that, while maintaining possession, they shook the opponent on the sides and repeatedly broke through the center to create chances, but it was a time when they struggled to score additional goals against Jeffa’s strong-willed and tenacious defense. In the midst of this endurance battle, at the 73rd minute, they lost the ball due to a feed mistake from the goalkeeper and conceded a goal. From there, there were moments when they were pressed by Jeffa’s momentum-driven attacks, but with everyone’s concentrated defense, they held on and the match ended 2-1.

It was a match where strong feelings toward victory clashed, and although we were pressed in the final stages, we secured the position as Tokyo representatives for the Kanto Tournament, a big step toward the national tournament!! We have not forgotten the frustrating experiences we went through to get here and have continued to build up our daily practice and matches. The battles at the national tournament will still be tough, but without showing any carelessness or gaps, we want to create our path together with the experience and confidence gained at Musashi.

Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-15 Musashi today.
We kindly ask for your continued warm support in the future.
