○Match Digest
Tokyo Metropolitan Club Youth Soccer (U-13) Championship 2nd League Sec. 2, the opponent was Furoku.
The match kicked off at 16:30 at Fukagawa Ground.
Fukagawa, in a situation where they cannot afford another loss after a draw in the previous match.
The start was marked by stiffness, continuing from last week.
They faced intense pressing from Furoku's forward line, repeatedly creating dangerous situations through short counters.
They were helped by the opponent's shooting mistakes and, centered around starting GK Louis YAMAGUCHI, maintained concentration at the crucial moments.
Although they showed attacks that avoided the press several times, they lacked depth and could not find a breakthrough in their offense.
At the 23rd minute, finally on a counterattack, Okazaki broke through on Nagura’s through pass and shook the net, but it was ruled offside.
At the 29th minute, just when it seemed the first half would end as is, from a scramble in front of the opponent’s goal, Nagura dribbled past the opponent with juggling and took a shot. Although it hit the opposing DF once, the starting FW Yamashita calmly tapped it in for the long-awaited opening goal.
The first half ended as it was.
In the second half, Fukagawa, energized by the first-half goal, bewildered the midfield with crisp passing.
They created several shooting opportunities through well-structured and substantial attacks.
At the 39th minute, Oda, who advanced from the opposite side, volleyed directly into the net from Ogawa’s exquisite cross after breaking through the left side with passing play, adding another goal.
Oda, who broke through on a middle pass from Okazaki, scored the third goal with a lob shot catching the GK off guard.
At the 56th minute, Oda impressed with a pass. Takuma Yamaguchi, who broke through on Oda's through pass, finished with his first goal of the tournament.
With little time remaining near the end, they conceded a goal from a middle-distance shot after being caught off guard by a counterattack from Furoku due to lax marking.
In the end, the momentum shifted in favor of the opponent.
We managed to hold on for the win, but it was a match with many issues to address.
Next match is a highly anticipated showdown against FC Tama, who are leading the group with two consecutive wins.
Thank you very much for all your support today as well.
