●Match Report
The fifth match of the Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League was against Mitsubishi Yowa Sugamo.
We approached the match with awareness of how to start and the importance of scoring the first goal.
We aimed to score first from the start, but overall it was a somewhat stiff beginning.
At the 10th minute, Nagayama received a pass from Watanabe Taku, broke free with a one-two, and took a shot, but it did not result in a goal.
However, at the 14th minute, Watanabe Ryu intercepted the opponent's pass, dribbled forward, and took a shot. This was brilliantly scored, securing the long-awaited opening goal and taking a 1-0 lead. But the opponent quickly launched a counterattack.
At the 17th minute, they took a powerful long-range shot. GK Ito made a fine save, deflecting it to a corner kick.
However, the corner kick was met near the near post, and the lead was short-lived as the score was quickly tied 1-1.
Regaining composure, they aimed for a second goal but struggled to connect passes smoothly and maintain rhythm.
At the 29th minute, Shirogataki took a shot on a loose ball that Motofuji had initiated with a dribble, but unfortunately it went over the crossbar.
The first half ended with the score tied at 1-1.
At halftime, we confirmed the importance of maintaining a good rhythm in passing, balancing the attack by targeting behind the opponent, providing quick support to the ball holder, and being cautious of the opponent’s counterattacks and restarts.
Just after the start of the second half, from a throw-in on the left side by Sawai, the ball was smoothly connected through Okuma and Horikawa, and finally Ryū Watanabe took a shot. Although it did not result in a goal, it showed a breakdown that hinted at scoring.
Then, in the 47th minute, Sawai received a short corner and crossed the ball, which Yamagishi met to take the lead 2-1.
Then, at the 53rd minute, Hirayama was brought on, followed by Fukumori at the 60th minute.
The opponent also made substitutions and came forward aiming to score.
At the 63rd and 66th minutes, they took long-range shots. Although they were powerful shots, we managed to withstand them, and at the 68th minute, after Fukumori intercepted a pass, Hirayama dribbled and delivered a cross.
This hit the opponent's DF and resulted in an own goal, making it 3-1. Then, in the 71st minute, Hirayama powerfully scored a dribble shot from the left side, quickly extending the lead to 4-1.
After that, fresh players such as Suzuki, Hishiyama, Narita, and Tsuyoshi WATANABE were brought in one after another. They did not ease up until the very end.
At the 78th minute, Narita delivered a superb long pass to Hishiyama. Hishiyama broke free and faced the goalkeeper one-on-one but was unable to score.
However, in stoppage time, Hishiyama broke free on a pass from Hirayama, skillfully evaded the opposing defender, and calmly scored to make it 5-1.
After that, the match ended.
They fought without easing their attack until the very end, securing a 5-1 victory.
We want to carry this momentum into the Kanto Club Youth Championship and connect it to the next victory.
Thank you very much for your passionate support today as well.
