●Match Digest
The opponent for Sec. 5 of the 2010 Tokyo Youth League U-15 Soccer League Second Half (Kanto Challenge League) was Machida JFC. The opponent had a chance to advance to the Kanto League Division 2 promotion playoffs if they won this match, which kicked off at 2:00 p.m.

Musashi cautiously observed the situation right from the start. While watching the opponent's moves, they slowly circulated the ball along the DF line, looking for openings. However, against an opponent who dropped back to form a block and aimed for vertical passes, they struggled to deliver good vertical balls and could not advance the ball to the front line.

At the 4th minute, a quick transition led to winning the ball up front and earning a free kick. Ishizuka aimed directly but missed far wide. Then at the 9th minute, a long feed from Gokatsu reached Kamoike running on the left, who attempted a breakthrough and crossed. Yajima carefully laid it off, and Kitagawa took a shot, but it hit the opposing defender and went to the GK. Furthermore, at the 13th minute, Kamoike intercepted the ball and won possession, then after a one-two with Yajima to break through, he was fouled and earned a free kick. Ito aimed directly from a free kick slightly left of center, but it was weak and went straight to the opposing GK. At the 22nd minute, the ball was passed from Ito in the center to Ishizuka on the right side, who cut inside and took a shot, but it went straight to the opposing GK.

On the contrary, at the 25th minute, the opponent broke through the midfield with a dribble and played a through pass, leading to a shot, but Kobayashi slid in to block the path, and the shot went off target.
At the 28th minute, Aoki was brought on to replace Yajima. Although the ball continued to move afterward, they could not create any clear chances against the opponent who was defending deep, and the first half ended 0-0.

Entering the second half, Musashi, wanting to establish rhythm, at the 40th minute, pressed from the front to steal the ball by Kamoike. The ball was passed from Wakasa to Aoki on the right side, and Kamoike, running onto Aoki’s cross, took a perfectly timed header shot, but it went straight to the opposing goalkeeper. Then, at the 45th minute, a long feed from Ishizuka reached Aoki, who carried the ball and passed it sideways to Ito, who came to support. Ito took a shot, but it was straight to the opposing goalkeeper. Conversely, immediately after, a fierce middle-distance shot was fired through a brief gap, but it hit the crossbar. Furthermore, at the 47th minute, a free header shot was taken from a corner kick, but this time the post came to the rescue.

At 51 minutes, as the opponent gradually began to create good chances from counterattacks, a middle-distance shot was taken into the open midfield area. GK Ohno touched it but the ball went into the goal. The first goal was conceded. Immediately after, Sasaki was brought on to replace Wakasa.
After scoring the opening goal, the opponent further retreated to defend, allowing the ball to be moved sideways but not vertically. Additionally, the opponent carefully circulated the ball slowly along the DF line to run down the clock, and whenever Musashi went for the ball, they consistently stepped forward, trying to use up time slowly.

Then, in the 56th minute, after being pushed back and a cross was sent in, the loose ball was stabbed into the goal, conceding the second goal.
Musashi, eager to quickly score at least one goal, immediately connected direct passes on the right side: SASAKI → Yoshimura → SASAKI → Yoshimura. Yoshimura’s cross reached Ito on the far side, and when Ito laid the ball back, SASAKI took a shot, but the opposing defender blocked it with his body. Then, in the 59th minute, when the ball was passed from Yoshimura to SASAKI, SASAKI carried it forward vertically, faked a shot, cut inside, and took a shot, but it was met with a great save by the opposing goalkeeper and did not result in a goal.

At the 65th minute, Tamiya was brought on to replace Ishizuka. Then, at the 66th minute, Sasaki received the ball from Yoshimura, turned around, and unleashed a powerful long-range shot, but it was unlucky to hit the crossbar. Immediately after, the ball was passed from Yoshimura to Ito, and Aoki reacted to Ito's through pass, dribbling past one opposing defender inside before taking a shot, but it missed the target.
At the 70th minute, Enokido received the ball from Yoshimura off a cleared corner kick and took a direct shot, but it went straight to the opposing GK. Then, in stoppage time, Tamiya stole the ball in midfield and passed it to Ito, who had moved to the left. Ito delivered a perfect cross between the opposing defenders and GK, where Kamoike ran in and slotted the ball to score, pulling one goal back.

However, the counterattack ended here. Ultimately, the match was lost 1-2.
