●Match Digest

The opponent for Sec. 7 of the 2010 Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League was Kashima Antlers FC Junior Youth. The match kicked off at 2:00 p.m.

Fukagawa took control of the rhythm and launched attacks with pressing from the front right from the start. At 2 minutes, they earned a free kick, and Kawakami aimed directly, but it went well wide of the goal. Continuing with quick transitions and an aggressive approach toward the ball, at 13 minutes, on the right side, Saito passed to Omura, who then passed to Watanabe running into the center. Watanabe trapped the ball and took a shot, but it was blocked by the opposing defender.

At the 17th minute, Omura broke through after running onto a ball behind the opponent's DF line and passed to Kawakami who was running alongside, but the pass slipped away and went to the opposing GK. At the 20th minute, a counterattack came from the opponent's corner kick. Watanabe picked up the ball in his own half and exchanged passes with Yamagishi who had advanced forward, and finally Yamagishi sent a cross, but this was also caught by the opposing GK.

As the first half neared its end, the opponent gradually gained the upper hand in attack, but GK Oida’s proactive rushes and committed play prevented any goals, and the half ended 0-0.

At the start of the second half, Yamaguchi was brought on to replace Tagami.
Right after the restart, a ball was sent from Kawakami to Omura running behind the opposing DF, but it just missed reaching him. Immediately after, when GK Oida rushed out to intercept a ball played behind the DF, the opposing FW touched it first and got past him, but the returning DF covered and managed to clear it. However, right after that, a cross from the right side to the far post was met with a header, conceding the opening goal.

Desperate to catch up, Fukagawa received a pass from Kawakami on the left to Yamaguchi in front of the goal at the 51st minute. Yamaguchi trapped the ball, made a skillful turn, and shot with his left foot. Although the shot was blocked by the opposing goalkeeper, Watanabe, who was following up, pushed it in to equalize.

Fukagawa, eager to gain momentum, had Omura take the ball at the 58th minute and aggressively dribble past the opposing defenders to earn a corner kick. On this corner kick, Onishi went up for a header but missed, and the opposing goalkeeper caught the ball. At the 67th minute, although the ball was once taken away upfront, Yamaguchi quickly switched gears, threw his body forward to regain possession, and earned another corner kick. From the rebound of this corner kick, the ball was collected and passed along from Takada to Saito to Kawakami. Kawakami carried the ball forward vertically and took a shot, but it was caught by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 75th minute, when the ball was passed from Sekine to Omura, Omura aggressively drove toward the goal, evaded the opposing DF, and was fouled, earning a free kick in a good position. Kawakami aimed a powerful shot, but it hit the wall and did not result in a goal. Then, from the rebound, they faced a counterattack; the rushing GK Oida was dribbled past, but the DF who desperately returned covered and prevented a goal. Immediately after, a header shot was taken in a similar manner to the conceded goal scene, but this time the post came to the rescue.

In the end, although we were pressed by the opponent, everyone raised their voices and maintained concentration to defend resolutely. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
