Commentary

The Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League match against Yokohama FC kicked off at 1:00 PM. In this match, U-15 Fukagawa, eager to secure 3 points, quickly switched between offense and defense from the start and tried to win the ball from the front line. Within 30 seconds of the start, Fukumori took the first shot, giving momentum to the attack. At the 7th minute, Iizumi sent in a cross from the right side. Saito jumped in the center for a header shot, but it didn’t connect well and resulted in a goal kick. Defensively, there were notable physical plays in front of the goal, and at the 10th minute, Takada calmly covered an opponent’s counterattack. At the 13th minute, the right side was broken through and a cross was sent in, but Takanezawa reacted quickly and cleared it. The attacking players, wanting to respond to this effort, pressed from the front with Tamoto and Nihei; Nihei won the ball and passed to Koizumi, who advanced into the penalty area and took a shot, but it was caught by the goalkeeper. At the 25th minute, Nihei received a free kick ball, dribbled into the penalty area, and connected passes from Fukumori to Saito, whose shot shook the net, making it 1-0. At the 32nd minute, they were caught off guard by a corner kick and conceded an equalizer. The first half ended tied at 1-1.

In the first half, after being caught up with an equalizer and wanting to change the unfavorable momentum, U-15 Fukagawa started the second half at the 42nd minute with Koizumi breaking behind the opponent's defensive line to receive a pass, which he then connected to Tamamoto who delivered a cross for Fukumori to shoot. At the 46th minute, a free shot was taken inside the penalty area, but Sasaki blocked it and averted the danger. At the 67th minute, again a free shot inside the penalty area was allowed, and this time Sasaki could not stop it, conceding the go-ahead goal. At the 68th minute, substitute Hasei persisted on the right side and sent in a cross, which Fukumori met with a shot, but it was cleared. Nihei then powerfully kicked the ball in to equalize. At the 73rd minute, another free shot inside the penalty area was taken, but Sasaki blocked this as well. Sasaki also securely caught the following corner kick, supporting his teammates' attack. At the 74th minute, Saito contested a cross from the right side, and as the ball was about to be absorbed into the goal, Kishi pushed it in successfully to take the lead. However, at the 77th minute, an equalizing goal was conceded. With the attacking momentum of today's match, they tried to score a go-ahead goal in the remaining time but could not shake the net, ending the match 3-3. Although they could not secure 3 points in this match either, the attacking players are gaining form, so they want to reset their mindset, correct the issues, and challenge the Club Youth Kanto Tournament.
