Gonda, Morishige, Ota, Yonemoto selected to SAMURAI BLUE (Japan National Team)

The Japan Football Association announced today (23 July) that F.C.Tokyo players Shuichi Gonda, Masato Morishige, Kosuke Ota and Takuji Yonemoto had been selected to the SAMURAI BLUE (Japan National Team) squad ahead of the EAFF East Asian Cup 2015 (Wuhan, China).

“The competition will be against Asia's strong nations. Even in such a situation, I will work hard to get a good result both as an individual and as a team.”

Comment from Masato Morishige
“I'm very honoured to be called up to the Japan national team. It's going to be with a new squad, so I will try to help them build up the team in this short term by communicating with my teammates well and put up a good result. The tournament is not easy. I will do my best in each match to win the championship.”
