気持ちを切り替えて、いざリーグ戦！

　ドイツW杯最終予選のため、3月12日以来のリーグ戦、第3節はヴィッセル神戸とアウェーでの対戦である。現在東京は勝点4で得失点差ながら首位であるが、神戸も含めて6チームが勝点4で並ぶダンゴ状態となっている。原監督も「2試合終わって全勝チームがいないことをみれば、今季はどのチームも力はそれほど変らない」と、上位キープには1戦1戦を大切に戦い、とにかく勝点を獲っていくことが重要になってくる。

　神戸は、ナビスコカップ2試合は連敗と勝ちに恵まれなかったが、“キングカズ”ことFW三浦、FW播戸の2トップにトップ下MF藪田の3人の攻撃陣は好調をキープしている。特に播戸がチャンスメイクとして前線で走り回り、中央で三浦がキッチリ決めるといったパターンが多くみられる。また、ボランチながら長短のパスで中盤での攻撃に起点となっているMFホルヴィ、そして左サイドには日本代表のMF三浦淳がおり、相手の攻撃には十分な注意が必要だ。

　一方東京は日本代表の土肥、加地がそのまま先発出場、特に加地についてはコンディションが心配されたが本人は「特に問題なし」とのこと。また、前日の練習で足首をひねって出場が危ぶまれていたルーカスも元気に出場、開幕戦と変らぬメンバーが名を連ね、試合に臨むことに。薄暗い曇り空の中、4:04pmに東京のキックオフでスタートした。

Refreshed TOKYO Return To League Play 

Following an extended break for World Cup qualifiers the J.League recommenced with F.C.TOKYO facing Vissel in Kobe. TOKYO entered the game top of the table on goal difference with Vissel one of five other teams with four points from two games. TOKYO manager Hara commented, "No side has a perfect record and that shows how evenly matched the league is this year". The old football cliche of 'taking every game as it comes' was never more applicable. 
Vissel had lost both recent Nabisco Cup games but the forward line of veteran "King Kazu" Miura, Bando and attacking midfielder Yabuta were in good form. In particular, Bando's tireless running had been creating opportunities that Miura finished in expert style. Coupled with the passing ability of Horvy in midfield and Japan winger Atsuhiro Miura's experience on the left, Vissel had enough offensive capability to threaten any defence. 
Doi and Kaji returned from National Team duty and straight into the starting eleven. "No problem", was Kaji's response to concerns over his condition. Lucas had recovered from a twisted ankle sustained in training and TOKYO fielded the same line up that began the opening game of the season. Vissel kicked off shortly after 4:04pm on a cloudy, grey afternoon. 

宮沢が鮮やかにFKを直接決め、今野が加点しリードを奪う

　試合開始からお互い中盤での激しいボールの奪い合い、ボールへの寄せで主導権争いとなり、ボールをつなぐというよりロングボールを入れてそのこぼれ球を拾い合う状況が続いた。そんな中、東京はいきなりチャンスを掴む。

　8分、中盤でこぼれ球を金沢がハーフライン付近で奪い、そのまま宮沢につなぐと相手DFの裏に走り込んだ戸田にスルーパスを送り、そのままドリブルでゴールに向かって突進するが、たまらず神戸MF朴が後ろから反則で止めてペナルティエリアから少し離れた場所でFKを獲得する。これを宮沢が速い弾道でゴール左上に蹴りこむファインゴールで早くも先制点を奪う。

　その後も特に石川が左右のサイドから早い攻撃を仕掛ける。12分には右サイドで栗澤→石川とわたりセンターリング、14分には左サイドで石川がドリブルでゴール前まで持ち込み戸田にスルーパスと攻撃の手を緩めない。すると今度もセットプレーから追加点をあげる。15分、右CKを栗澤が入れ相手DFのクリアーボールが再び栗澤の足元に、今度は低く早いライナー性のボールを入れると、ゴール前にフリーでいた今野がドンピシャのヘディングシュートを決め2点のリードとなる。

　神戸も20分過ぎから落ち着いてボールをキープ出来るようになり、全体が前掛かりとなって反撃を開始する。22分、自陣右サイドの朴がFW三浦にクサビを入れ播戸にスルーパスからゴール前に。24分にはカウンターからDFの裏に抜け出したFW三浦がペナルティエリア内右からシュートを放つが土肥の正面に。東京も前掛かりの相手に対して、中盤で宮沢がボールを持つとタイミング良く相手DFの裏に走り込む戸田に何度もミドルパスを送るがトラップミスなどもありなかなかシュートまで行けず。33分、神戸の前半最大の決定的なシーンである播戸のドリブルシュートも土肥のファインセーブで防ぎ、2-0で前半を折り返すこととなった。

Miyazawa Opens The Scoring; Konno Doubles For TOKYO 

The game began as a furious midfield battle for the upper hand with both sides resorting to the long ball when in possession. TOKYO created the first clear chance in the 8th. minute as Kanazawa won the ball in midfield and slipped it to Miyazawa who played it behind the Vissel defence for Toda to chase. Toda bore down on the home goal before Park clattered him from behind, giving away a free kick in a dangerous position. Miyazawa took aim and curled a glorious strike past Kakegawa to give TOKYO the lead. 
Ishikawa threatened along the flanks for the visitors; in the 12th. minute he skated down the right before crossing and two minutes later burst down the left before cutting inside and laying the ball off to Toda. TOKYO extended their lead in the 15th. minute, again from a set play. Kurisawa took a corner on the right and saw the ball cleared back to him by the Vissel defence. He looked up and picked out Konno with a low cross that the TOKYO midfielder met perfectly, giving Kakegawa no chance with a powerful header. 
It took Vissel until midway through the half to recover their composure and begin to play the ball around. Park combined with Miura to set up Bando in the 22nd. minute and in the 24th. minute Kazuyoshi Miura evaded the TOKYO defence and shot from just inside the area but Doi held his effort comfortably. As Vissel increased the pressure Miyazawa made several attempts to play in Toda with well-timed balls over the home defence but Toda's touch deserted him and he failed to carry the ball into shooting positions. In the 33rd. minute Kobe produced their best chance of the half as Bando slipped through the TOKYO defence and shot; Doi produced a superb save to deny the home side and the first period finished with the visitors ahead 2-0. 

神戸の猛反撃も1失点で凌ぐ

　ハーフタイムに原監督の「デフェンスラインを下げるな。後半立ち上がりから行こう」という指示通り攻撃を仕掛ける。47分、右CKを宮沢がファーサイドにボールを入れ、今野がヘディングで折り返し中央で戸田がシュートするもファールに。50分、右サイドからFKを宮沢がゴールに向かっていくボールを入れ、これを今野がヘディングで合わせるが相手DFにあたり惜しくもCKに逃げられる。そしてそのCKからチャンスを掴む。クリアーボールを左サイドの石川につなぎドリブルでゴールラインギリギリまで持ち込みセンターリング、中央でルーカス、戸田が待ち構えていたがちょっとのところで合わず追加点を奪うことが出来ない。

　神戸が動く。55分にDF室井に代えてFW和多田を入れ4バック、3トップとし、早めにロングボールを入れそれを拾って両サイドから攻撃するパターンを徹底してきた。なかなか東京DF陣を崩せないとみるや、MF朴→DF丹羽、FW三浦→MF佐伯と立て続けに投入、今度は中盤に人数を増やしこぼれ球を完全に支配し、波状攻撃を仕掛ける。

　東京も疲れのみえた石川、宮沢に代え梶山、浅利を投入し何とか劣勢の状況を変えようとする。また最後の交代カードを使い戸田→藤山を投入し、戸田のポジションに金沢を上げるなどそのまま逃げ切る体勢となったが、89分に左サイドでDFホージェルからのアーリークロスを和多田がヘディングで折り返し、ゴール前に走り込んだ播戸が合わせ今季初失点を許すが、最後まで茂庭、ジャーンを中心に全員が一丸となって守り抜き、そのままタイムアップ。アウェーで貴重な勝点3を獲得することが出来た。

　【選手コメント】《宮沢》「(FKは)狙いすぎて枠をはずしたらもったいないので、キーパーの動きを見てコースを突こうとした。前半、何度かいい展開になり、チームのコンセプトである速い攻撃ができていたと思う。戸田選手が開いているだけでなく、早い走り出しからゴール前に入る動きをしていたので、サイドチェンジだけでなく、そこにスルーパスを入れようと考えていた。お互いのタイミングがよかった。(戸田選手が倒された場面について)僕がもう少し前にボールを出せていたら、決めてくれていただろう」《戸田》「ずっと本当に点を取りたいと思っていたが、もしあそこ(1点目につながったファールの場面)で倒されず、フリーになっていれば決められなかったかもしれない…(笑)。ただ、これからもああいう形でどんどんゴール前に抜け出していきたい。そうすれば石川選手の突破やドリブルも、より活きてくると思う」《今野》「得点の場面は(CKから一旦相手がクリアし)動き直したので、マークがいなかった。僕には守備の強い選手がついてこないのでラッキーだった。後半は神戸がシステムを変えてきて、それに対応するのに苦労した。守り疲れてしまった。後半宮沢選手のFKから、ヘディングのチャンスがあったが、大事にいきすぎて決めることができなかった。あそこで僕が3点目を決められていればよかったのだが」

　【原監督の会見要旨】「ナビスコカップで柏に敗れ、大分にはホームで圧倒的に攻めながら点が取れなかった。そういう試合が続いたので、選手には今日からリーグ戦がスタートするという気持ちで戦っていこうと話した。神戸も同じようにリーグ戦はいいスタートをきっていた。前線のFW播戸と三浦、MF薮田という3人が好調で、そこからリズムをつくっていた。我々のよさを活かすためには、戸田や石川を走らせてサイドを突破して、そこからゴール前の迫力をもう少し出していきたかった。いい時間帯に宮沢のFKが決まったが、それも宮沢が戸田にパスを出した決定的なシーンから生まれたもの。ファールをした相手選手はもしかしたら退場かな？と思ったが、我々は相手が少なくなると調子がくるうので退場でなくてよかった(笑)。その後、CKのこぼれから今野が決めて、非常にいい前半だった。リードされた神戸が後半FW和多田を入れたり、あるいは両サイドバックが攻撃的に出てくることもわかっていた。その中で、石川が左や、右から仕掛けていった場面など、3点目を取れるチャンスがあった。そこでもう1点取れれば最高の形だったが。ただ、アウェーでの成績を上げるということがずっと課題だった。最後はバタバタしてしまったが、全員で踏ん張って勝点3を獲ることができてよかったと思う。加地はもし代表のバーレーン戦で勝っていなければ精神的にもキツイと思っていたが、勝ったし帰ってきた時の表情もよかったので先発で使った。むしろ土肥のほうが疲れているような気配があったが、昨年の経験があるので、慎重に試合に入ってくれた。全員で獲った貴重な勝点3。今日の勝ちを次につなげていきたい」

　【神戸・松永監督の会見要旨】「Jリーグの合間にナビスコカップをはさんでの3試合目、ナビスコの2試合については結果が出なかったことから、今日はゲームプランを変えて試合に臨んだ。前半の入り方は悪くはなかったが、あのFKのシーンは我々にとってアンラッキーだった。CKからの失点も、注意力の散漫からあのような結果となってしまった。前半に2点のビハインドを負うという、過去と同じような展開となったが、1点返した後、最後に追いつけたゲームだったかもしれない。ただ先手をとられると、結果的にはこういう展開になってしまうもの。失点することに臆病になるのではなく、アグレッシブに攻撃を仕掛け、つまり攻撃することで守備の負担を減らしていくというサッカーをしなければ、どうしても失点してから出ていくという形になってしまう。もちろん守備の安定は大事だが、攻撃力をもっと増していかなければバランスが取れないのかもしれない。ただ最後に1点を取ったことは、選手たちが90分あきらめないで戦った証。同じ負けでも、次につながる戦いだったと感じている」

Vissel Pull One Back 

At halftime TOKYO manager Hara told his team, "Don't defend too deeply. Get stuck in straight from the kick off". TOKYO followed his directions and pressured Vissel into conceding a corner barely two minutes into the half. Miyazawa curled the ball to the far post where Konno headed it back into the danger area for Toda to shoot. Unfortunately a foul was given. In the 50th. minute Miyazawa pumped a long free kick into the box; Konno outjumped the home defence and made contact but the ball took a deflection off a defender that sent it the wrong side of the post. Ishikawa picked up the clearance from the subsequent corner, drove to the byline and centred. Neither Toda nor Lucas could find the touch that would have put the ball over the line and killed the game off. 
Vissel responded by replacing defender Muroi with forward Watada and switching to a 4-3-3 formation, then playing early balls out of defence towards the frontrunners. The tactic failed to worry the solid TOKYO backline and Vissel tried again; this time defender Niwa replaced Park and midfielder Saeki replaced forward Miura in an attempt to flood the midfield. This proved more successful and TOKYO found themselves on the back foot as the home side dominated possession. 
Kajiyama and Asari replaced the visibly tiring Ishikawa and Miyazawa as TOKYO sought to turn the tide. Manager Hara played his final card by replacing Toda with defender Fujiyama and pushing Kanazawa forward into Toda's position. The realignment kept Vissel at bay until the 89th. minute when Watada headed an early cross from Roger back across goal and Bando crept in to nod the ball past Doi. It was the first league goal conceded this year. With Jean and Moniwa in imperious form the TOKYO defence navigated the final few minutes to earn three points from a valuable away victory.

Miyazawa 
"It would have been a waste if I hadn't hit the target so I watched the goalkeeper's movement closely before I hit the ball. We created many good moves in the first half and really lived up to our concept of attacking football. It wasn't just that Toda was free but his sharp runs into the area allowed me to pick him out and instead of just changing sides I tried to play balls through the defence line. Our timing was good today. As for the foul on Toda that lead to the first goal, if I'd played the ball slightly further in front of him he would surely have scored". 

Toda 
"I've been desperate to score recently and if I hadn't been fouled I would probably have missed ( laughs ). I just want to create more opportunities like that one. With Ishikawa's dribbling and penetration we can really slice defences open". 

Konno 
"I changed my position following the corner and nobody was marking me. I was lucky a tall defender wasn't there. In the second half Vissel changed their system and it was difficult for us to respond. The defensive work exhausted me. I had a chance to score the third with a header from Miyazawa's free kick but I tried too hard and couldn't get it over the line. If I'd scored it would have made a big difference to the rest of the game". 


F.C.TOKYO manager Hara 
"Well, in the Nabisco Cup we lost to Reysol and then drew at home to Oita after dominating the game. Following two games like that I told the players to approach the game today as if it were the start of the league season. Vissel's forward line of Miura, Bando and Yabuta are in good form and that's where their rhythm comes from. Our attacking force comes through Toda and Ishikawa down the flanks and we needed a little more presence in front of goal. We had a great start with the free kick and it was Miyazawa's through ball that led to that chance. I thought the foul might even have been a red card but since we usually play badly against ten men I'm glad it wasn't ( laughs ). Konno grabbed the second from a corner and it was a very good first half for us. Watada came on for Vissel in the second half and they pushed their side backs forward more, which we had expected. Ishikawa worked hard on both sides and we had chances for a third goal which would have been perfect. Improving our away record has been a constant theme. We were flapping a little at the end but the entire team worked very hard for the win and I'm very pleased. I thought Kaji might have had some psychological stress following the Bahrain game but he seemed fine and I put him straight back into the team. Doi might actually have been more tired but I used my discretion considering his experience last year and selected him. The entire team earned the points today. We hope to carry this form over into the next game". 

Vissel manager Matsunaga 
"We failed to get a result in the two Nabisco Cup matches so we altered our game plan for today. We didn't play badly in the first half; that free kick was unlucky. The second goal showed what happens if you lose concentration at a corner. So we were two goals down in the first half like many times before and if we could have pulled one back then we could have taken something from the game. Why so many of our games follow the same pattern I don't know; we don't start playing until we're behind. Defence and balance are important but we have to increase our attacking power. The late goal we scored was proof and the team didn't give up and I'd like to take that never say die spirit into the next game".
