[Player Interview]
<Player Perotti>

Q, how did it feel to make your debut in Tokyo for the first time, even though it was a short time?
A, although it was a short time today, there were many very positive things. Since it was my first time, there are parts where I don’t yet understand Japanese soccer or Tokyo’s style, but the main thing I focused on was moving aggressively. There was even a scene where I took the ball and it led to a goal. As I continue to play more, I think I will come to understand Japanese soccer and Tokyo’s concept better, and since I myself had been away from games for about three months, in that sense, there were many positive takeaways.
Q, the goal scene was initiated by the hard work of PEROTTI.
A, I think you understood my playing style from today, which is to play devotedly on the pitch. Since I was a child, scoring goals has been the best, but even if I can’t score, I have always valued contributing to the team. What I can promise everyone is that I will give my all and exhaust my strength until the very end of the remaining time. Of course, this applies not only to soccer but also to other sports and life in general.
Q, when I see that hard work, I feel that it also strongly pushes the backs of the fans and supporters.
A, I want to be 100% myself in many aspects, but it’s not something that can be achieved easily, so I want to proceed with preparation while staying calm and patient a little longer. I will do my best to reach 100% condition as soon as possible.
Q, Have you ever watched a Tokyo game at Ajinomoto Stadium?
A, I have watched several matches and have received information about Tokyo's playing style last season and what kind of play is required for my position. However, I think playing in a match is different from just watching. That said, I have been well informed.
Q: What kind of play do you want to show in front of nearly 30,000 spectators?
A, there is no change from before. As you saw today, I believe I can only do what I am capable of. Within that, I want to show a fighting spirit. Even today, I think my condition has not yet improved, and although my playing time was short, once the season starts, I want to show a fighting attitude for the team inside the stadium.
Q: Is there any place where you feel you have blended in with the team?
A, I was worried that many things might be difficult when I came to Japan, but thanks to everyone, I was able to join the team smoothly. One reason is that there are other Brazilian players who help me in various ways. I also receive great support from interpreters Mr. Iino and Mr. Kobayashi. I was able to adapt better than I expected, and although I was concerned about food, I can eat more than I thought. I don’t understand the language at all (laughs), but I want to gradually get used to it and build good relationships with the Japanese players as well.
Q, please tell us the reason why you chose Japan as your new destination.
A: We Brazilian players wish to play overseas, and among them, I also hope to play abroad. Before coming to Japan, I played in Portugal. Around 2016, I heard from players who had experience playing in Japan about the greatness of Japanese soccer and culture, and I always wanted to play in Japan someday. I am grateful to many people who helped make that wish come true, and now that I am here, all that remains is for me to do my part.
<Hisatoshi Nishido player>

Q, please look back on the goal scene.
A, thanks to the efforts of the players around me, the ball spilled to me and I was able to score.
Q, the shot was with the opposite foot.
A, when I carried the ball forward, my touch became too big and I lost the angle, but I could see a slight shooting lane, so I took a shot with my right foot, and unusually, the ball went exactly where I intended. Usually, it doesn't go where I want, but today it went where I aimed.
Q: Although the team integration was delayed, how do you feel about being able to participate in the games and achieve good results?
A, I am determined to start from here, and I think being able to produce results like today is a positive thing. However, I only played for a short time today, and there are still physically challenging aspects, so personally, I believe I need to improve my condition even more.
Q: Today, I think you played as a second striker. Do you feel confident playing in that position?
A: I watched last season's matches, so I have a certain image in my mind. Whether I can actually perform on the pitch is another matter, so I want to be more aware than usual, keep my head clear while observing those around me, and focus on giving my all in the position assigned to me.
Q: You are being asked to participate in the competition for a starting position. How do you feel about it?
A: There are many amazing players, so it’s quite a big wall to overcome, but I want to grow enough to surpass that and become part of the team.
Q: What do you need to do for that?
A: It’s the quality of finishing that we work on during regular practice. People around me also say this, but my quality is still low, so I think it’s important to earn the trust of those around me in that area. I want to focus on each shot, cross, and pass during practice and gain the trust of my teammates. No matter how many times I happen to get results in matches, that alone won’t establish my position, so I want to be particular about daily accumulation and improve the quality.
Q: There is another game during the camp period, how would you like to spend it?
A: As a team, while accepting today's match result, I think we must win the next practice match as we enter the league, and I want to finish the Miyazaki camp on a good note. Also, on a personal level, I want to leave results in the form of goals and assists.
Q: There was a talk about the big wall of seniors, but what kind of movements are you learning from seniors?
A: When I play as a winger, there are times when my movements overlap with those of the fullback, so I observe and learn from the surrounding players in those aspects. I believe that by continuing to work on this and aligning our instincts with my teammates, I can achieve more effective positioning and movement.
Q: Even during practice, you seem to be teased a lot, and it gives the impression that the team's morale greatly improves when Nishido is present. I believe you have built a good relationship with your teammates.
A: I also participated in last season's camp, so in a way, I was already somewhat accustomed to it, and there were many familiar faces on the team, which helped. Additionally, many of the seniors are very kind and the atmosphere is great, so even as a younger player, it’s easy for me to talk to them. Because of that kind of atmosphere, I believe we have been able to build the current relationship.
Q, I feel like there were more voices on the pitch after Nishido entered the game.
A, speaking of today's match, the other players were also highly motivated and gave off a very positive aura. I think that was part of the reason why there were more voices on the pitch.
<Tsubasa TERAYAMA>

Q, although it was a short playing time, I think you were able to make good plays, right?
A, although it was a short playing time of 20 minutes, I thought it was a chance to test how much I could do during a difficult period. I believe it was also what the coach expected, and I think I was able to show some of my play, but I also feel I could have done more.
Q: During the times when the team lacked energy, I think there was a natural voice that emerged, urging the team to bounce back once Terayama and the other players entered. Were you conscious of that?
A, every player who came onto the pitch together had the mindset to change the flow of the game. Coach Sato told us to change the momentum, and that one phrase switched me on. I believe the players who came on midway intended to change the flow, and that led to a good result. It was important for us to secure the win during the time we were on the field, and I think we were able to play a good match.
Q: How do you want to appeal in the remaining matches until the opening?
A, first of all, I think I need to bring out my strengths more. We must accept the issues that came up in today's match both as a team and individually, and I believe it is important to focus on both the results and the quality of play in the remaining match against Hiroshima. While showcasing my strengths, I want to play with the awareness of helping the team win.
Q, the competition for positions is also intense.
A, I think I need to work even harder, and since there are many good players, I want to learn a lot, make it my own, and become someone who can break into the starting lineup.
<Kota TAWARATSUMIDA>

Q: What did you focus on in today's match?
A, with the opening match approaching, I was conscious of showcasing my own strengths as well as making decisions to adapt to my teammates when necessary.
Q, what is the characteristic, is it dribbling?
A: That's right. I consider myself a dribbler, so if I don't actively showcase that characteristic, my value diminishes. That's why I am especially conscious of it.
Q: Have you gained a sense of confidence that your skills are applicable even at the professional level through practical experience?
A: I feel confident when I can bring the play into a form that suits my dribbling style, but I struggle when I can't. I want to increase the number of times I can get into my own style.
Q: Do you consciously try to use your right foot in a way that is similar to Sanada's playing style?
A, that dribbling style has been mine from the start, so I haven't used it as a reference. I intend to stick to my own style.
Q: Do you feel strongly about showcasing the ability to peel off individually as a characteristic that is demanded in today's football?
A: Yes, strongly. I think there are few players like that, so I hope to increase my value by making it my own characteristic.
Q: Do you have any specific reason why you started to excel in dribbling?
A: When I was young, I started playing soccer influenced by my older brother who played the sport. Watching his playing style, I wanted to become a player who was also good at dribbling. Among the many soccer players I watched, I admired those with amazing dribbling skills like Messi and Neymar, and naturally, I began to focus on dribbling myself.
Q: With less than 3 weeks remaining until the opening, what kind of appeal do you want to make?
A: I want to showcase my characteristics so that I am seen as a necessary player for the team, score goals, and demonstrate that I can help the team win.
Q, are you participating in the Nagatomo Juku?
A, I am participating. Player Nagatomo teaches me things like how to use my lower body.
Q, what is the environment like to learn from player Nagatomo?
A, I am very happy. I think the environment where I can learn from a player who has competed on the world stage is wonderful.
Q, do you also receive advice when working on the same side?
A, he understands my characteristics, encourages me to take the initiative, and creates an environment that makes it easier for me to play.
