Q: I returned to Kodaira after the camp ended. How is the team's completion level?
A: There are still many things we need to work on, but in terms of a shared understanding among all members, I think we are beginning to grasp what the coach envisions. What’s important now is how we can technically express that ourselves. As a first step, I believe our understanding is progressing even during practice.
Q: In a previous interview, you mentioned that "it is not enough to be able to draw the same picture on the same side."
A: Even when the ball is on the opposite side, I think it’s important to anticipate what will happen when it comes to our side and to think early on about where we need to position ourselves. I place great importance on this. It’s not about suddenly taking a position just because the ball is nearby, but rather about reading one or two steps ahead by assuming where the ball will come, and I believe this is crucial for positioning.
Q, regardless of which position you play, do you feel that as long as you can adapt to the tactics, there won't be any problems?
A: Yes, that's right. The things we must not do are clear, so I want to express my own style in other areas. However, defensive roles are also important, so I will make sure to fulfill those properly.
Q: The opening match opponent is Kawasaki F. Is there anything you are conscious of?
A: I don't expect things to go smoothly from the first match, and I think concerns will continue to arise, but I want to stick to the style of soccer we want to play and focus on winning.
