○Match Digest
8th Kanto Youth (U-15) Soccer League Sec. 16 vs Kumagaya SC
The Sec. 16 of the Kanto League was held at Kumagaya Sports and Culture Park with high temperatures and strong sunlight. The match kicked off with Musashi in possession.
Musashi struggled to find their rhythm against Kumagaya, who aggressively tried to take the ball from the start. Musashi attempted to build rhythm through passing, but at the 7th minute, Kumagaya capitalized on a midfield mistake to steal the ball and faced the GK one-on-one. Taking advantage of a brief lapse, they scored the opening goal.
Musashi conceded a goal during a period when they couldn't find their rhythm. Kumagaya's dominance continued. Then, in the 19th minute, after allowing a breakthrough on the right side, a sharp cross was delivered, and a player running in volleyed it directly, conceding an additional goal. Furthermore, in the 26th minute, after losing a loose ball in midfield, a long-range shot was scored, allowing the third goal.
In the first half, at the 39th minute, from the combination between Miki Kobayashi and Hirakawa, Kobayashi scored a goal, but the half ended 1-3.
The second half kicked off with Kumagaya's ball. Musashi confirmed what needed to be done to win and aggressively moved toward the goal. Then, at the 43rd minute, DF Hagiwara stole the ball back and made a pinpoint feed to forward Miki Kobayashi. Kobayashi’s pass reached Hara, who was running in, and he took a shot!! They scored their second goal. Musashi gradually regained their form and at the 48th minute, from a corner kick that was initially cleared, Reo Sugiyama picked up the ball, skillfully dribbled past the opposing DF with delicate technique, and headed straight to the goal!! He hammered in the equalizer.
Musashi had gained momentum, but in the 68th minute, after being broken through on the side, they were perfectly matched to a pass back and hit with a bullet shot!! They conceded the 4th goal. After that, Musashi continued to attack without losing their rhythm, but the goal remained elusive. Just when it seemed the match would end as is, in the 77th minute, through passing work in front of the goal, Hara stubbornly pushed the ball in to equalize. They aimed to take the lead. However, the match ended as it was. Although they showed great resilience in coming back after conceding, conceding 4 goals is something that must be seriously reflected upon. This was a match where the team needs to raise their awareness even further for the next game.
